If we were to have a league with enough participation, what type of league would you guys like to see. One that is team based or one that is singles based?
If we use the real cars, we could always use the real teams. Like Joe Gibbs Racing or RCR and how many cars are in those teams would be how many people would be in each team. Overall I don't mind 2-3 per team but I'd like it to be primarily a singles leaderboard. Just like in Nascar where they have the main standings but you also have team standings & manufactor standings. But if it's got to be just one or the other, then I vote for singles league. EDIT: I voted for single, as if it's got to be one or the other I'd take the singles.
That is exactly what I was thinking jeffrey have a mainly singles league everyman for him self but have team mates to maybe help you draft or help them draft.. I voted for team for that reason only.
I was also thinking the same thing. Singles with teams of 2, perhaps 3....that's why I voted for both. I don't want 2 leagues, just implement both aspects.
I haven't bought the game yet, but I am really thinking about it, and I would definatly be down for a leagu the way Jeff describes.
Something else I just thought of, if we do the real cars league, I'd be willing to try and make custom cars for any drivers missing them. Like the Jack Daniels, MIller Lite and Bud car. Not sure if there are any more then those 3. All 3 of those should be halfway simple to copy. Since it doesn't appear performance points matter between driving a custom car and real car. That'd atleast make it a bit more realistic.
I don't think so, think the only Marlboro sponsorship is in the Indycar series. I could be wrong but I think the only ones missing are Bud, Jack Daniels, Miller Lite and maybe Coors Lite (can't remember if they still sponser a car).
I voted singles point series. Is this going to happen for sure? I took my game back that I rented, but if there is enough people going to join and commit to a league, then I dont mind going out and purchasing it.
I was wondering the same thing. With Forza coming out, what in a year or so, I doubt the commish's want to convert the scoreboard over and then convert it back when Forza comes out. If we are gonna do this, can we atleast move on to deciding a time/dates? Or get some preseason races going? I know we've got 20 who have voted but I'm sure not all those can make it every night. I just want to make sure we've got a hard count for a set date and time before people like Tad or Demon waste money on it.
I'm game, and down for any night. Was a part of a few less-organized leagues for PS3 last year (bought it for 360 this year, and assume thats where the league would be?), and when people actually got on for the races it was as blast.
Sounds good I will start with my availability. Daytime during the week - anyday. (retired military) Wed-Thu-Sat evening if start by 8pm EST. Friday evening - anytime and no matter how late in the evening it starts.
