Did You Know? LG NCAA Information - What You Need To Know - Thread

This thread will contain all the information that you need to know about the LG NCAA League. If you have any questions, please send a Site PM to the CHL BOGs and we will answer you as soon as possible.

What is LG NCAA?
LG NCAA is the new development tier that we have created for the CHL. The NCAA League is a league composed of all the players on CHL Team Training Camps. On Xbox, there are 24 NCAA Teams and on PSN, there are 16 NCAA Teams. Each NCAA Team will have TWO CHL Team affiliates, or in 2 cases, THREE CHL Team affiliates.


Who plays in the LG NCAA?
The Training Camp players from the CHL Teams are what the NCAA Teams are comprised of. So anyone who passed through all bidding sessions without a bid, or all late signups are added to the LG NCAA. THIS INCLUDES RA V PLAYERS.

Availability Requirements
EVERY player on the NCAA Team is REQUIRED to give a minimum availability of 2/6 each week of the LG NCAA season. THIS INCLUDES RA V PLAYERS. Failure to provide 2/6 availability is subject to the team management removing you for being an inactive player for the remainder of the season.

Game Times
Sunday - 8:45pm/9:15pm ET
Monday - 8:45pm/9:15pm ET
Tuesday - 8:45pm/9:15pm ET

NCAA Management
The two (and in 2 cases, three) CHL Owners that are affiliated to an NCAA team are in charge of running the NCAA team.
This is due to the NCAA teams being composed of your own Training Camp players, thus keeping themselves more active and playing competitive 6v6 hockey.
CHL GMs and AGMs are not required to run the NCAA team, but they are greatly encouraged to help out with daily operations. If Owners wish to have their GM/AGM involved, please contact CHL Staff via Site PM to get them added as well.
The CHL Owners that are affiliated with an NCAA team are able to name an NCAA Captain, marked with the AGM role, to help with scheduling players for games as well as gathering for games.
NCAA Captains are still call up eligible to the CHL.

Right to Play
Due to the large quantity of players, players are required to give 2/6 availability.
Players are NOT REQUIRED to play in LG NCAA UNLESS they are scheduled by the NCAA Owners or Captain for an official game.
Players confirmed for a NCAA game are STILL eligible to ECU for the CHL in circumstances where they CHL team would forfeit if the player doesn't play.

Season Length/Format
Starting Sunday Nov 13th, there will be a 5 week NCAA season, with 6 games a week.
30 games for the entire season.
The Top 16 Teams will make a 4 Round Playoffs in the 1v16 Format

Trading in NCAA?
After much consideration and discussion with Managers and Staff, we will be allowing the CHL Trades to be mirrored at the NCAA level. What this means is that if a CHL Training Camp player is traded to a new team, their NCAA rights will also need to be traded to their new NCAA affiliate.

Scheduling
The NCAA Owners and/or Captain are in charge of scheduling their Weekly NCAA lines by Sunday at 8pm EST for the entire playing week.
Owners must schedule players based on their posted availability
If players do not post the minimum 2/6 availability each week, they can be removed for inactivity (the best practice here would be to work and communicate with your NCAA Owners)
If a player no shows a scheduled NCAA game, unless they are ECU'ing in the CHL, they can be striked. 2 strikes in the NCAA season will lead to a removal.
Players can only play a MAXIMUM of THREE games per week

Position Lock
The position lock is going to remain uniform with the LGHL/LGAHL/LGCHL.
Forwards can only play LW-C-RW
Defencemen can only play LD-RD
Goalies can only play G
In the case where the NCAA team does not have any available players in a certain position able to play a weekly game, the Owner can PM CHL Staff to ask for an exception, whilst providing proof of the situation.
