Sup peeps - I present to you, a tool that I created with the help of my good buddy and former AGM @v FrosTiC . This tool will hopefully allow you to have a better understanding of which teams get bargain contracts and which GM's hand out cash like they're Marc Bergevin. This tool shows Forwards that are: non-management, on rosters as of 2/7/18 and have played 15 games or more last season in the AHL. Sadly, I haven't figured out the formula that calculates Defenders' or Goalies' value but hopefully that comes in the future. This is cool. Is this calculated just by S28 points or does it factor win/loss, previous team, +-, etc?
How I come up with value is by assigning a dollar amount to each of these categories: Goals, Assists, +/-, Win Differential and Points Per Game Above Average. Certain categories get more money and certain get less. Example being that Goals are worth 35k where Assists are worth 20k and so on.
