    This is a nice feature but needs adjusting. How is Carolina below a team they eliminated? I'm not being sour about it it just doesn't make sense. What I am sour about is not being ranked #1. I am undefeated. Why am I not #1 player in the world!

    Makes a lot of sense, You were much stronger and that goes into the formula and you won in 7 games and by one goal.

    You guys were expected to win in essentially a landslide... Toronto pushed you to the brink, including a Game 7 OT -- so your team "failed" to meet expectations by not destroying the Leafs. That's what you guys get for having an amazing regular season -- inflated expectations from the system. In the end, you guys won the series -- isn't that more important anyways?

    Not sure if you are referring to the team ranking or personal. But if your talking about team then you are proving my point that Toronto should be ranked after Carolina.

    how? because the 'weaker' team forced you to the brink of elimination - where one goal decided the outcome of the series? Just like in the real NHL - power rankings are not always reflected by the standings

    Ok then... How is LA not #1 over Pittsburgh they beat the second best team in the league point wise while almost not makikg the playoffs themselves and winning in 5 games
    to boot, while pittsburgh beat a team in 7 that was right next to them in the standings. As Kev said its not about being mad or anything. Just trying to point out stuff so it can be adjusted.

    If I were upset it would go something like this:

    Replaykev we get no respect around here we are both undefeated I have a GTG and GWG in game 7. You are 4-0 and playing like a freaking Bauwse. No respect at all lets take our ball and go home

    Team rankings are a sum of all the users rankings from that team and put into an average.

    If you look at the top 5 this week, 4/5 are Pits players. It looks like those guys strong performance over compensated their team mates weaker performances, which is pretty remarkable as everyone in LA had an average rating or higher.

    Also didn't I hear a lot of COL's top rated guys didn't play that much? If so that would mean the performance rating LA faced would be more level to theirs. So remember that's a factor as well

    I see your point about power rankings not being about standings but I guess I'm talking more about playoffs when you go head to head with a team for a series. With your logic carolina should be penalized because we were supposed to beat them easily and didn't, penalized so harshly that even though we won more games and out scored Toronto 14-11 they are still "better" then us because they weren't expected to win at all? Please tell me how that makes sense. I really don't care about where we are ranked because I don't lose and if I play in 4 games a series Carolina will win the championship. I'm jut trying to help make the rankings a little bit more believable. I believe tris said when he unveiled this that he will be changing some things around to make it better.

    I think there are a lot of factors that can't possibly be accounted for. We had to use 3 total goalies, 2 ECU players, our LD had to play net, and our leading scorer played only 2 games. We weren't at full strength, but then again a lot of other teams werent either. We were still able to squeak by. Regardless, I agree that an eliminated team should not be higher than the team that beat them in any ranking system. In the end, it is what it is and it's fun to read these things. Only ranking that means anything at the end is the championship anyway. Until then there's no need for anyone to get upset about any rankings because they are just for fun.

    What if an elimanted team performed better? This system measures how a player performs based on their expectations and the quality of opponent. And i dont think anyone can argue that the leafs performed better then they were expected to do, while Carolina performed weaker then expected.

    And the this system (quite honestly), showed that.

    I agree with redwings being at the top he had 2 goals scored on him in the first 4 games and Sunday I know for sure they had there top guys out my boys did a good job defensively to shut them down and redwings came up big I do think we should be above the penguins for this week but I am not going to complain this system is awesome good job tris on being the #1 site in innovation

    He's not talking about preforming better then Carolina, he's talking about how the system, and I am pretty sure everyone else expected Toronto to preform in the series.
