id like to apologize for this being as late as it is, but ive been insanely busy aswell as a few of our other members having some more important issues that obviously come before an online power ranking. Has arizona finally woke the fuck up are are they still cheeks? Here are your Week 5 Rankings: Top 5 Teams in Week 5 1. Washington Capitals 8-1-0 2. Buffalo Sabres 8-1-0 3. Colorado Avalanche 7-2-0 4. Nashville Predators 7-2-0 5. Two teams tied at 6-2-1 (NYR and ARI) Top 5 Worst Teams in Week 5 1. Tampa Bay Lightning 0-8-1 2. Vegas Golden Knights 2-7-0 3. Minnesota Wild 2-7-0 4. Anaheim Ducks 2-6-1 5. Ottawa Senators 2-6-1 From The Top: Buffalo Sabres Week 2 Record: 8-1-0 Overall Record: 30-8-7 (1st in Atlantic) The Sabres had a fairly east schedule, playing teams like Philadelphia (4-3 win), Tampa Bay (2-1 win), Pittsburgh (2-0 win). Either way, they got the job done and pull within three points of the NHL lead. Washington Capitals Week 2 Record: 8-1-0 Overall Record: 34-11-0 (2nd in Metro) Washington had a tough schedule going into this week. They had games against Boston (1-0 win), Toronto (1-0 loss) and division rivals New Jersey (1-0 win) and New York Rangers (3-1 win). They pulled closer to the division leaders (NYR) and now sit two points out of first in the Metro after having a great week. After going 16-2-0 in the last two week, the Capitals are looking to solidify themselves as the NHL’s top team. Near The Bottom: Vegas Golden Knights Week 2 Record: 2-7-0 Overall Record: 26-18-2 (4th in Pacific) After going 7-2-1 last week, Vegas followed it up by going 2-7-0. In those two wins, they beat St. Louis (3-2) and Los Angeles (2-1), both in overtime. Which means they were two shots away from going 0-9. Vegas dropped from second place in the Pacific to fourth in one week. If the Golden Knights don’t turn it around fast, they could find themselves out of a playoff spot. Ottawa Senators Week 2 Record: 2-6-1 Overall Record: 16-25-4 (7th in Atlantic) The good about Ottawa this week is they beat Florida (5-4) and they were the ONLY team to beat Buffalo (1-0). The bad….well they lost 12-1 to Detroit…yikes. The Senators have only had 1 week where they reached over 3 wins. Moranaconda has been a nice guy since he has entered the league but nice guys doesn't always translate to winning. It is time to step back and re-evaluate what he is doing. Maybe AHL management is more suited for for the future.
