I'm not getting defensive by any means, nor am I trying to oppose the idea. I'm just making mention that streaming can lag the games for some of us. As I mentioned I will definitely give it a shot and use any suggestions that may be made to make it smoother (thanks mackay 27). At the end of the day, if i can pull it off I'd prefer to be streaming anyways

Yea I didn't think you were coming off as defensive. I was more just trying to get the thread back on track and not have anyone thinking that they need to stream or that I was insinuating that.

After playing my week 1 game, I think streaming has an effect on connection regardless of who is streaming. My opponent streamed our game and I found it to be slightly delayed and heavy. Not sure if it was the stream or just the connection between the 2 of us overall, but from past experiences once streams are turned off mid-game there is a noticeable difference.

At the end of the day though, it is cool to have streams up so people can watch.

yeah to look at it, you wouldnt be able to tell. it wasnt choppy by any means but had a heavy/delayed feel, so it was harder to make quick cuts/throws. Basically just button delay

but who knows, maybe that was just on my end today

Streaming can incorporate a delay. So you cant see playart when the play is being ran. you can scout all you want, but if you make your reads correctly you can still win games. I personally can stream every game i play in since i have a capture card. so if people are interested ill stream all of mine

If the game is being played Peer to Peer. Streaming can sometimes put a strain on the connection. But not everyone streaming will lag down the game, so long as they have a good internet.

The issue is people who are streaming on console are using the poop console software/hardware and have some poopy internet sometimes.

Using a cap card along with OBS, and a good internet upload will release strain on connections. I would be willing to bet I could stream with no lag on each players end

I just set my twitch up. I am good with streaming all home games, prime time games, and playoff games (if im there.. doubt it) as long as it doesn't effect my connection. So far in online games I have had no lag or experienced any differences from online compared to offline. As long streaming doesn't effect the game play I'm down.
