LGv3 - Design Break down of the "Post bit"

I like it alot, keep it up Tris!

 

It's gloriously feature heavy. I love the Ajax sig's with gamertags, games, userinfo, etc.

LGv3 is going to be fantastic, no if we could just get Tris to hire me and GMB to skin it, it would be amazing

I like the features.

I'm not sure I like the 15% dimming of avatars though. Makes it a little harder to design them and might cause some detail to be lost. Not a big deal, but thought I'd say my piece.

Also, it may just be the screenshots, but the "Quote", "Edit", etc. buttons could use a little cleaning. Shouldn't be too hard to do for the guys working on this.

Overall, I love the information you can get for each user without it taking up the whole page, LOL. Except for the avatars, I like the other stuff being dimmed until needed. The xbox gamer tag looks really bright and clean when selected at 0%.

From what little experience I had doing buttons, those are quick and easy fixes so I think you're right in that they aren't worth delaying the launch. Glad to know it's in the works though because that stuff stands out to me (but not on anything I make, only other people's work :twisted: )

It really isn't a big concern of mine, but when I made avatars for other people, my goal was to make them stand out, :wink: . I'll get used to it like you said and I'm really not trying to be a pain.

You know I'm going to voice my opinion though :twisted: I just want to see my LG history and stuff. I could not care less about Rob's :x

On the second to last slide - where it shows feedback, was the feedback comments made up? I dont remember making that remark or heck even giving feedback to Rob.

words hurt man , I got your number pal :x :wink: like Tris said , it was just filler to show how the new feedback sytem will work , instead of canned messages like " GREAT GAME GREAT SPORTSMANSHIP " you will have your voice heard.

I took a stab at getting rid of the eyesore buttons, and sorta replaced them with simple text style buttons that blend in with the gradient bar.

Might look a little like this, I sent the zip file for the buttons to Tris, so we'll see if they get implemented. It's a quick fix, but its much cleaner and nicer looking than what is there.
