Madden 09 Talk...

prob after. i was one of the fans who thought we should of cut him. the rooneys talk about equal treatment and they cut ur third string receiver but not ur Defensive MVP for the same offense. Steelers fans talk about how the Rooneys are to class of the league but yet they are defending them for keeping harrison, it was a move more common with the bengals

 

Hey now, our guys drink too much, do drugs, contribute to the delinquency of minors, speed, and a lot of other ****, but I don't think spousal battery was on the list.

Pros
+ I like the replay they stole from 2k5.
+ Replays are presentation finally have caught up, well somewhat, to 2k5, showing stats and replays, rather than fat lineman breathing.
+ Graphics look to be improved, but then again, they were improved in 07, and then scaled back in 08.

Cons
- Players look like they can still cut on a dime. They need to have weight when running and changing direction.
- Weird seeing what each button does on the field, that has got to go.
- Why would they show a video with a fumble when this was the biggest problem last year?

 

It was a pretty good lick on the receiver to cause the fumble. I don't know what all the fuss is about. Besides, the fumbles weren't really a problem after they released the patch to fix it.

 

I hope they get the ref's on the field, have good commentry, hate that radio rubbish, Faulk, Betis and Bommer hahahahaha would be awesome.Also liked the ticker tape of live scores etc,Injury commentry, basically Madden 05 in a new package called madden 09

Yea, I'm so pissed about the in-game player stat updates. Why the hell did they take that stuff out? It is like they stripped the game down for the next gen consoles.

 

madden looks good i hope my old brother buys a Hd tv befor it comes out so i can see what it looks like with the graphics

 

I really like the new zoomed in camera mode seems easier to read plays with. I hope the kickers still arent on steroids but cant wait till throw another huge amount of INT's with Fav...errr Rodgers

 

I love how you can actually read the scoreboard, but they gotta get it out of the middle of the screen.

Not sure I like when you score a touchdown, it appears there is a box you can run into and hit a button to do a canned celebration animation (hence the previous picture posted with the yellow Y above the guys head. If you watch the trailer, you see a big box in the endzone that Moss has to run into before he goes into a celebration).

 

I'm liking these graphics this year. The weather and the way the grass looks is amazing. I also feel like they actually pay attention to what every player looks like and got it really close to what the player looks like, other than 08 where almost everyone looked alike.

Two things that I would LOVE to see in 09, first is... online team-play..it has worked so well with NHL and it should do the same in madden, nothing better than kicking butt with friends. second is.....smarter lineman and defenses, I know I hate when some guy does the same offensive play over and over and over and yet the defense is senseless also some guy runs the same blitz over and over again and the lineman just let it through over and over. I would like to see If a guy does the same plays all the time that the defense or lineman should get better and defending it..anybody else think so?

Do you think in the madden online franchise mode, you will be able to have to download ncaa rosters on there for the upcoming year

 

I wouldn't think that you could. NCAA doesn't come with the rosters so I wouldn't think they would let you import rosters into Madden. I'm sure they will make you use fictional names.
