That's a pretty ambiguous statement...wonder what that means? Has anyone checked Madden to see if it contains the same statement?
It's posted on NCAA 05, Madden 05, FIFA 05, NASCAR 05, and Tiger Woods 05. FIFA doesn't say anything about after the season though, it just says with 30-days notice at easports.com
Yeah that's what i was wondering when i was coming back to work if any of theother EA games had that... Makes a little frustrated but i can understand EA's point of view on this..
i havent tried it yet, but i will this weekend for sure. i got this cool deal with EB. i can return this game and get full refund within 14 days or exchange it for MLB 2k5 (and get the change too). so LG, better decide which game we are going to have for our season within 14 days
I haven't played an entire game yet, but I will say this game is difficult as all get out. Man I have yet to score a base hit, and I've given up around 5 HR's to the CPU. The mini games are cool, and good for practicing. It's a good game, but hard to get used to after a year of ESPN. It'll take time to get the hang of it...overall 8/10
I totally agree... ESPN Spoiled me by low learn curve..hehehe... not to say that i have learned that game.. cause man i stink at it..lol... But this one has alittle more than just pushing buttons...lol Great Graphics and game play... need to see the other game to put the thumbs up or down...
Ign gave MVP a 9.2/10 I would have the agree as the animations in this game are simply amazing...the backhands, diving/sliding catches, wall catches, balls hit back at the pitcher... *drool* Unlike last years ESPN, this game FEELS like baseball.
I did like how smooth the animation is when turning a double play...100x better than last years ESPN. One thing I didn't like is the check swing...way too sensitive. I'd think I was swinging and check on a strike.
Personally, I think the check swing is perfect. In espn I would always want to check swing but couldnt then when I didn't want to I would finally be able to...grrr...
man, hitting in this game is tough. i was able to hit the ball i think only for 5x. my question is, how you make a lead for your runner. when i select a runner (B, Y) and press the direction of the base they're suppose to be going, they are not moving??? :x and i always end up of having my base running and being caught. :x likewise, how do you replace the pitcher in this game? i played 1 game last nite offline, i press the button (either white or black) and press the direction, it seems i cant pick my next pitcher. can someone help me on this??? graphics is better than mvp 2003, the last one i have for EA baseball. polished actions and running. can someone give some tip in hitting the ball too???? thanks.
Hey canucks33, use your R directional thumb pad to lead runners. To lead 1 runner, press left then press right to get back to the bag. To lead all runners you need to push up and then down to go back. I dont think it states this in the manual. To replace the pitcher, press the white button and then go over to warm up pitcher. to defend you statement, sometimes it allows you to warm up and sometimes it doesnt...not sure. Maybe someone more seasoned can answer for you and I. As far as batting goes, you are asking the wrong person. I am horrible at batting, but slowly getting better. Lately I have been really pressing the driectional pad for uppercut and ground balls and it seems to work. BTW - Does anyone know whats up with the Old Rosters. I mean, Delgado isnt even on the Marlins...:?
yeah, its indicated in the manual to lead ALL runners or back ALL runners not a single runner.... i also read the manual MP i need to try this online sometime sunday, im just busy this week. what level are u guys playing???
Mostly All-Star, but a few games on MVP (makes it harder to pitch, which is a good thing with any baseball game).
The exact same type of thing is on the back of Madden too. Just means they will not let you play online after a year.
Ive been playing MVP, with strike zone OFF and Pitching Cursor OFF and Fielding:MVP. Those are good settings.
I didn't even give ESPN a chance this year. Every year I go out and buy the ESPN version, and for the first couple games, I think that it's awesome. The graphics are great and it was fun. But eventually, it would just start dying on me... the fun just somehow would get ripped out of it and I wouldn't want to play anymore. So my friends always get MVP. I never do because it's worthless since I can't get on Live with it. Now obviously I can, so it was the obvious choice this year. It's a very welcome change from the ESPN series. All the movements just seem more fluent and smooth, and it seems like I have more control over my players actions. I love the on screen replays so you can see what happened on a play, but you don't have to stop the game. It feels like I'm more into the game with MVP, and that's the kind of feeling a baseball game should produce... and I'm glad I picked MVP this year. This coming from a normal ESPN videogame fan..... lol. I'm with Jon... ESPN has NBA and NHL down... but for football and baseball, EA has won.
