Hey I got a question, for when we start tourneys and rankings and stuff, are we gonna have names for our players? or just our Gamertags? I don't know, I just think it would be cooler for our players to have names
I think we will just use our Gamertags just because it will be easier to follow. If we just list "John McEnroe", we would then have to figure out which gamer is controlling John McEnroe. So probably just your gamertag. Or maybe we can just like the Gamertag of the person, and right next to it would be the nick-name. Like: Babolat - "Joe Munoz" The Original MP - "John McEnroe" But not listing the gamertag anywhere would be hard to figure out in a long list of nick names. Then with the Gamertags, people might not really care about nick names. So thats still up in the air.
Ya that's kinda what I was thinking something like: Johnny McEnroe (Original MP) Nick Pappagiorgio (tHe Rk) Joe Munoz (Babolat) 8)
I was going to use the database to jsut read your account login name, i was also thinking of linking to your xbox live handle field. But there's a lot of people that have crazy names i don't reconize. Also i have to think about what it will do for doubles, will it display both names or a choosen name, cuz it's going to take a long time to scroll in that ticker!

Just to keep it simple, I will just go with gamertags. Tris brought up the ticker, and with nick names instead of gamertags, it will get confusing to see who is who.
That works just fine for me. Seeing as Microsoft is tracking my useage anyway. (j/k lol) ??? They don't do they ??????

I would love to have nick names, but for right now in our planning stage, there really isn't any room for it. Maybe we can easily add that later, but right now, its just not needed.
