    I will be composing a tweet (And EA Forums post) on behalf of the competitive community after gathering this feedback and will try to get as many RTs as possible to get it seen and more importantly hopefully taken seriously to show what we want. I think we come together as a community with how big we are we can get the changes we want and if not no hurt. If you don't think so that's fine you do not have to participate




    What do you guys think EA needs to fix about NHL19 for the competitive community.

    EASHL 6s
    EASHL 3s
    VS
    HUT

    TLDR - Please Vote, choose as many as you like
    1.) Skating (Attribute differentiation back to release and then INCREASED instead of decreased)
    2.) Bumps from behind (chasing a guy skating away from you, shouldn't be able to bump him)
    3.) Long Reach Interceptions - (reaching forward for the puck when skating backwards on the rush)
    4.) Incidental Contact
    5.) Shot Power and Accuracy​
    6.) Goalie wrong side of net, reach across saves
    7.) Unlockable hockey item for an Olympic Size Ice in EASHL
    hockey bags (given by EA to all LG Teams like they did with the jerseys and logos)





    So far there has been 3 tuners and 1 patch since the game has been released a month ago which is way more than usual. It seems like the community thinks the game has gotten worse in some areas while at the same time they fixed things we wanted but messed up some other things.


    Fixes
    1.) Poke Checking (pokes were in a very good spot during the beta and release but needed somewhat tuned bc of the amount of PIMS that were occurring but even more so bc of the lack of people using pokes bc of how risky it was which to some was a good thing, the adjustment to pokes I think was pretty good as a high amount of PIMS are still called with bad positioning but you can get away with poking a lane or effectively attacking someone with a poke again so people are now using it again which is nice)

    2.) Stick lift spam (this latest tuner increased the penalty calls for pressing stick lift repeatedly. This was a good add bc people were able to spam it and not get a call but at the same time we didn't want them to change the effectiveness of the lift bc it was working effectively again for the first time in a long time)

    3.) Broken/Dropped Sticks - great remove no need to it and picking up a new stick from the bench didnt work sometimes

    4.) Increase Deke Success Rate - this was asked for by a lot of us bc well a lot of the builds and even players in VS/HUT cannot complete the dekes. If were going to try to create space with deke to try to create space we want the deke to actually work if no one pokes, hit or touches the puck, but we many of us were not picking the puck back up after a deke or just losing it off our stick

    5.) Club Challenge - good add, needed to be there without say. Need to make sure you have the SAME PASSWORD and then home/away on and apparently some people have others BLOCKED which isn't allowing them to find each other in CC Games

    6.) Getting up quicker after hits - fixed after the beta, youd lay on the ground way too long, its still there now but only if injured and still not as long as before

    7.) Tie Up Faceoffs - Everyone was doing tie ups for faceoffs in the beta bc they eliminated the roll, EA implemented counters to tie up, backhand stick lift and forehand stick lift now beat tie ups. (They also increased the speed of the backhand and forehand lifts to the dman/winger)





    WHAT STILL NEEDS FIXED
    1.) Skater build attribute differentiation increased - This was in a patch bc we asked for more noticeable differences between builds and players and it was changed like we wanted, however it was changed the wrong way. We liked where everything was at speed wise, but wanted the higher ratings stuff increased, instead the was left the same and the lower ratings and bigger builds stuff was decreased to make the other stuff more noticeable. This was a step backward and needs corrected. Take everything back to where it was and then on the higher rated players (VS/HUT) increase the higher guys even more and then EASHL make the smaller builds faster not the bigger builds slower and then the guys with higher shooting, passing etc all increased but return the lower guys back to original feel

    2.) Incidental contact - This has become very bad as of late, with guys not opting to poke or running for hits and missing but hitting you and getting the stick lift noise or poke noise or getting the puck lose and really ruining the flow of the game and hurting puck control with guys essentially not doing anything defensively but running into you or even your own teammate hitting each other or getting too close

    3.) Bumps seem to be better except the ones from behind are still helping guys catch people or knock them off the puck when their momentum is away from them

    4.) Puck Carrier Speed - too many times guys are getting caught on breakways. Even if they steal it off the Dmen they are able to turn and catch them or backcheckers catch up, is it puck carrier speed penalty, does Accell take too long to kick in to reach max speed, is it the stamina FWDs have vs Dmen, whatever it is it needs addressed.

    5.) Shooting Power and Accuracy - way too many missed nets and way too many times shots come off too weak for all builds and all modes

    6.) Goalie Glove Hand - goalies are strong which honestly is fine but the saves where theyre on the other side of the net and we shoot the open side and they either reach across and glove or throw their blocker hand out too far need to go. Im all for good goalies and them only getting beat when we beat the D but they need to be in position and that is the only glaring issue for them right now in my opinion

    7.) Long Reach Pass Interceptions away from the body - The long reach extensions need to go, we need it back to poking the lanes to break up far passes, anything tight to the body can be picked off if positioned properly, aka facing the play or visibility of the puck, those could even use an increase, but the far reach ones when momentum is backwards and you reach into a lane or on the backcheck when you auto knock down a saucer need removed or toned down

    8.) One Touch Passing along the boards, 1 touches are still slightly delayed from time to time, seems based on how you pick it up





    OTHER
    1.) Guys who take penalties are still going to the BENCH and not always the Penalty box

    2.) Faceoff formation - id really like to be able to pull up and adjust the faceoff formations at will, not just randomly when theres a whistle and people don't press A, I should be able to bring it up before, during or after the play and be able to change it. Id also love it to old gen where the FWD is in the high wing spot instead of the dman in the O zone aggressive faceoff

    3.) Goalie Lag out before club game - If a goalie lags out before the game starts it isn't dropping the game like it usually does, it will in game but not before

    4.) Every players position in highlight reel is CENTER

    5.) In the team stats screen it is just showing Power Plays and not power play success and attempts

    6.) AI Aggressiveness also in EASHL when theres a lagout (Skillzoning) - This was apparently gone in the beta according to EA and all of the VS/HUT guys were talking it up like crazy. Now it is all of the sudden back and the CPU is also pretty OP in EASHL when theres a lagout as well. CPU will chase you to the corners but will not stick lift hit or poke you in the zone, unless you make incidental contact with them which is where the issue seems to be occurring, but in ESHL they will attack

    Bring the pivot back. The half spin before it got tuned was so nice. Then they took it out and ruined the best addition to the game in years.

    When players take slap shots and the puck hits defender and they skate away like nothing happen and most likely that same player gets the puck that he just blocked and goes on a breakaway, i forget what nhl it was but almost every slap shot that was blocked at least stunned the player for 5 seconds or so.

    being poked from behind when skater has puck and being chased down (realistically impossible)

    Interceptions when the D mans back is turn away from the play is ridiculous. I wish I clipped one I had the other night on a behind the net short side play. D man had his back to the short side post, reached behind him with his stick and intercepts the pass cleanly.

    To add to what you have on skating: The penalty your skating takes as a result of having the puck on your stick should either be abolished or be based on offensive attributes. Smaller playmakers/Danglers/Snipers running high 80s/low90s speed and accel should be torching bigger defenseman if they aren't playing back far enough.

    From a competitive standpoint they need to balance the game so that you're able to go all in on some attributes at the expense of others and have a variety of different play styles become more or less effective as a result.

    here's a general summary: Game was pretty good a couple weeks ago, now it's not.

    You can tell them to stop changing things that don't need to be changed. If they added club challenge back in and didn't touch anything else for the rest of the year, I'd have considered it the first game on xb1 that didn't blow ass. Now the possibility of blowing of ass is back on the table. 19 is looking and feeling more like 18, and currently without the use of the API for LG. Embarrassing.

    - Turning/pivoting should be better overall, especially guys who aren't even that big (ie. 6'2", 205lbs TWD). It was fine in the beta and on release, but the first patch ruined it.
    - Hustling should make your guy noticeably faster. Right now it seems to only make you go like 3% faster.
    - There should be more variance in speed between builds and player sizes. Right now a 5'10" sniper hustling isn't much faster than a 6'4" defensive d-man. I'd keep the regular speed for most bigger/slower builds the same, just make the smaller/faster builds a bit faster.

    I heard they turned down a lot of the stuff like poke check and left trigger because too many “bad kids” / casual players were complaining. The average player was getting a tripping penaility every time. Ea knows that they make up like 90% of who plays the game. They will never make a game that suits competitive players.

    One touch passes are very inconsistent imo.. can literally be spamming pass with forecheckers on you and it only reacts half the time if that.

    If you spam poke, not only should you have a higher chance of a pim but also lose your range with each poke after the first if you opt to spam. Makes your first one even more important

    Smaller build are faster, it just that they lose their speed faster because of their low weight and strength.
    Then again, if you wanna go fast, then accept to lose the puck when you get hit from behind.

    One thing is for certain, I and many people on this site would not have bought this game if this is what the beta felt like.

    I played the series a ton from 09-14, but I had only bought one game (NHL 17) since the move to XB1/PS4 and I stopped playing after a few months because of how bad it felt, and the game right now is very similar to it. The beta was very much a step in the right direction and easily the best gameplay in the series since the move to current gen consoles. We want fast gameplay, we want a high skill ceiling, we want a game that's fun to play and rewarding for playing well.

    For 6s- As everyone else has already said, skating is the biggest issue. Zero reason why my guy with 90 speed/accel/agility should get caught on a breakaway by a guy twice my size.

    For Club in General- Haven't seen a patch updating about them fixing club games starting up when a goalie leaves/disconnects last second allowing a 6s game to start having one team with a goalie, and the other team without (maybe they don't even know about this because it's a pretty stupid glitch). Also should be able to look at the player summary/player stats in between periods, and not just after the game.

    For Ones- Don't play Ones often, but when I do it often seems glitchy as hell. Like this clip for instance... How does this happen? lol

    1. Taking one timers and a guy blocks the puck and it falls aimlessly in front of him flat in the ice and he just skates off with it. If a shots blocked the puck shouldn't drop in front of them. It should bounce elsewhere.

    2. Bumps from behind.

    3. Skating.

    4. Players names not being seen in club games.

    4. If they aren't going to fix bumps than please tune puck control. It's stupid to see a fucking 5'7" sniper bumping a 6'3" TWD and he loses the puck or gets fucking drilled.

    5. Put hipchecks back to only right stick in.
