NHL 20 Feedback and Wishlists

in the DR you pick 3 builds, then you have to do line changes during the game

 

Would rather this guy then last years dude

 

Interesting, but I was feeling more like 11 or 12 folks in club game . Maybe a back up goalie that is a tc or something. After 2 minutes on the ice your guys lose all energy and you need that line chang .

 

Things can also very with momentum swings as well . Energy can vary. I dont have the science down, but I think it would be really fun. Getting 11 folks or 12 isnt that hard in a party and want to pla .

 

Chel is a lost cause

 

I would like to see a little bit of blood when a player gets struck by a high stick and the referee calls a double minor or during or after a fight. Also would like to see broken glass after a hard shot that would miss the net and hit the glass or after a hard hit into the boards/glass on an opposing player. Also would like to see players go into bench on an hard check near bench from opposing player. Player's should be able to fight goalies and hit goalies also referees should come into play as well meaning they could get in the way of players or puck in a disruptive way. I personally don't like that idea lol but it would be more realistic. I think that LEAGUE GAMING should be more of a focus then anything else. I think it would really be cool if you could actually play as a full team online in LG with actual line changes during game play and instead of continuous ot after first period of OT in regular season if no team as scored then a shootout should take place to determine WINNER.

 

Doubt this would ever come back, even in future games, but would love to see lobbies come back and also some type of attribute system.

Also biggest thing ive noticed thats been really inconsistent are the servers, especially central servers. The central servers seemed way more stable when they added it at first into the game

 

100% number 1 thing to improve for ea sports NHL hockey moving forward.....THE PING AND CONNECTION aka BETTER SERVER SUPPORT! We know it can be done. Other sport games are doing it! You would hear a lot less issues from everyone playing if you fixed the north american server connections across the country with better server support! Hands down the biggest set back to NHL hockey online.

2nd choice for me at least...team practice mode! why would you even think to take this out of a sporting game!

 

Bring back custom builds, but use the current system for unlocking boosts instead of grinding for Legend 3. Also, have the attributes a little higher.

 

Definitely not an in game issue. But nhl 20s servers are so inconsistent it’s unbelievable. Sometimes I’ll be at normal ping. Most of the time though it’s always higher ping then it should be + packet loss.

There’s absolutely zero consistency in the servers. Especially during LG times I find the servers experience an overload and ping is totally off.

 

Features
1.) Spectator Mode - Add Spectator Mode for Esports

2.) Dressing Room Free Skate - When you go to the DR, load into your home arena for skate around, ready up in the rink (like on NBA2K)

3.) Fully Custom Builds - I think its finally time to go back to customization builds, height, weight, attributes with no restrictions and all of the points available from the get go

4.) EASHL Leaderboards meaningful, EA get involved in esports (money, HUT packs, rewards, special customization items, etc

5.) Feedback HUB - Create a feedback HUB right on the EA NHL Menus where we can upload clips or take surveys and polls for feedback. Also have a post plays of the month there, instead of having to record it on xbox/twitch, then upload to youtube, then upload to EASports plays of the month hub online

6.) More customization for EASHL - more arenas (add outdoor and international ice) give you that home ice advantage), more logos, special jerseys/logos/props/apparel/mascots/music/ for finishing top 10 in the month on the leaderboards

Game Play
1.) Remove/lower incidental contact

2.) Seperation Speed - Decrease Accel on all builds so seperation speed is noticeable like in the 20 beta

3.) Fix Shooting Animations - some of the shooting animations take too long to get off (wrap around/ 1 timer where it catches and wrists instead of slap, when trying to crash the net and picking up a rebound and it makes you shoot again if you whiff without pressing it again)

4.) Increase Deke Success rate - Deke success rate is just so low compared to older games, maybe even add the between the legs deke back to a simple LB deke like on 16/17 where it was used as one of the main moves and was extremely smooth

5.) Bumps - bumps are in a decent spot right now compared to before BUT PLEASE LOWER THE STUMBLE/STUN EFFECT, which im told you guys were considering doing. People dont really have a problem with bumps, they have a problem with being paralyzed when they get bumped

6.) Pass interceptions - were too OP for awhile, last patch (FEB) has been better but a little bit too much in the wrong direction (a little too much is getting through again) needs balanced back the other way slightly

OTHER
1.) Add a central server further up north to help the CAD people when they have east and west guys, Ohio as the central server isnt cutting it

2.) Customizable club challenge - allow us to set the period length, sliders, etc for club challenge games

3.) Pass Assist - Find the bug that keeps randomly changing peoples pass assist to different numbers besides the starting of 100%

4.) Goalie Cover Up Glitch - Goalie cover up glitch has been vastly reduced, but Gs still have the issue occasionally when they dont have the puck but it is close enough for them to cover and they just start spazzing again

5.) FIX STATS
a.) Fix takeaways (count pass interceptions as takeaways),
b.) Fix Blocks - blocks count in the game on the stat tracker but DO NOT COUNT at the end of game in the final stats unless it was a block initiated by holding LB. They should match for any block being recorded

 

Add Goalie to bench controls player on ice.

Seperate Tuners for EASHL

 

Post game stats: start including pass attempts and completions per player.

Super useful for scouting to see who the puck hogs and giveaway machines are.

 

No particular order:

1. Team practice mode - people want it and was a feature before

2. Scoreboard placement - I have to play without it cause I can’t put it on top

3. Puck stops right on the goal line way too much. Fix it.

4. The net is a web for your player to get stuck on, but a rock for the puck to bounce off out of play.

5. Fix the dekes - don’t care if it’s to make lower deke stat perform slower dekes or what but a dangler should never fail a deke and far too many builds can only do basic dekes.

6. Goalies - Took a step back this game in my opinion. Responsiveness is slower and the puck glitch went on far too long and still somewhat of an annoyance.

7. Fix the “play of Period logic”. If you are going to do a new feature, make sure it doesn’t show dumb stuff 80% of time.

8. GOALIE INTERFERENCE - This logic badly needs fixed. It’s been bad for too long. A goalie could literally slide the wrong way and the goal gets called off cause they ran into the other teams winger 2 feet outside the net.

Use a attribute system along side the progression system. Example- more shots you take your shot attributes go up, hits make your hitting go up. Along the lines of that

 

Scoreboard, get rid of this dumb scoreboard please. Option to make it small and any corner, or at least the top left like it used to be.

 

This...except, please no outdoor rinks with terrible shadows for EASHL, outdoor rink with no shadows would be interesting.
