Will i notice a difference between 75hz and 144hz ? Does my xbox even support more than 75hz?(xbox s) Thanks
Xbox did an update in 2018 of may for 120 HZ compatibility https://www.windowscentral.com/xbox-one-120hz?amp
Most xbox games are capped at a certain frame rate. 30 or 60fps with a few that have the option to go above 60 and utilize Freesync. I asked the Devs in the EA forums if they have plans to allow us to use a framerate higher than 60, many bumps, no answer
xbox one caps at 60 fps so anything above 60 hz is nothing for nhl. i do not know for sure but if you have an xbox one x and your monitor has freesync than you might be able to get higher frames but it would not change anything because of the game that it is. hope this helps
Freesync on xbox one x only hits a certain range as well, its something like 40-60. I don't think consoles with really use 144hz all that much. Besides a couple of things, for example Dirt 5 is going to have a 120 fps mode on the Xbox X series X Xbox... I would still buy the monitor with a higher refresh rate.
The new xbox coming out will support up to 120fps/hz. 4k 60fps is something they say they are targetting as a base. And then you'll get higher FPS on 1080p, 1440p, etc. I bought myself a 1080p 144hz monitor as I care more about getting the highest fps I can get. Hoping for some nice Halo Infinite at 1080p 120fps. On the current xboxs that support 120fps it's basically only for tv and movies. There are virtually no games that support past 60fps and the ones that do barely go above that.
In my experience using both consoles on 2 different monitors the past 2 titles, you'll only truly see a difference if the the monitor response rate is different. Obviously 1ms rate response is preferred
