LGHL NHL Suggestion Thread - Summer Season Edition [Xbox/PSN]

The Lag out rule should be changed there shouldn’t be a way for a compy to win a game especially if it’s in the playoffs. Should be a quit out right away by team that lagged and a penatly no waiting till end of period.

 

Idea 1: think adding more advanced stats to the site to help owners decipher who has ability and who doesn’t would help greatly. I think a good stat to add would be something that takes into consideration the skill level of your line mates vs the skill level of the opposing teams you play. Maybe call it a “scrub hunt meter” . In other words let’s clearly define those people who scrub hunt and let’s also make visible those who consistently have to go against 1st liners . I just think games like league of legends have such a good ranking system that clearly defines a players skill level whereas LG has a lot of gray area.

Idea 2: Lets find a way to bring nhlers and ahlers/chlers closer together. A lot of the nhl players only want to play with each other because they obviously want to win, however it hurts the lower leagues because they get no exposure. There are some gems in lower leagues that don’t get recognition because they don’t know the right people.

Let’s have a tournament where NHL players can volunteer as captains and select their roster via draft with all AHL and CHL players eligible . This could be a fun tournament to bring all of LG closer together and break down some of those ego barriers. A lot of the time we judge people before ever being in a party with them and it’s a shame.

 

Do a prospect tournament

 

Get rid of 500k contracts and make the minimum bid 1m.

 

yes that’s what I was thinking off cause it’s just the worst when in playoffs say game 7 and a compy wins the game just terrible feeling

 

I would love to see an 82 game CHL season may be an unpopular opinion but one of my favorite things about hockey is potential games in hand when making a playoff push.

If we do 9 games a week for 8 weeks than we could run 10 games a week for 8 weeks and have 2 of the weeks have 11 game weeks. Could make things interesting down the stretch if a team has 1 extra game to play during a playoff push.

As far as availability or league max games you can set that extra game for those 2 weeks like a game 7 anyone can play. Or add your own stipulation to it .. just would love to see the extra games in a season

 

I’d say for Chl guys that wanna go in the draft

 

Make all the cup winners play eachother and have the last champ automatically in it. Atleast would shed some light on the CHL at those levels

 

In hindsight my second idea is a bad one . The current system is fine.

I did bring up a long time ago that LG should be integrated with the NHL dashboard itself... it should really just have its own tab. I don’t know how much contact or influence you have with EA devs but this wouldn’t require anymore than 5 seconds of coding. Most game engines should allow for the opening of a url which could open the LG site in a Microsoft edge browser via Xbox. Obviously this would increase traffic significantly and make LG directly integrated with the games themselves.

if the devs wanted to actually put some effort into it they could show the top LG esports standings along with a sign up link or something of that magnitude. Obviously the main issue here would be that this is a forum where people express non-pg material which I’m sure EA would have an issue with so perhaps you add language filters or rewrite some rules, whatever EA requires.

 

Is anything in question about the send down of NHL (A) status players after the deadline? Players play 9 weeks on a playoff team to get cut for players at a higher level who didn't make the playoffs.

Add wild card spots in the AHL. Every season good teams get caught in strong divisions and worst teams advance to playoffs.
