Non-BCS Dynasty Offseason Yr. 2

Hopefully someone can contend with Boise and Houston for the league elite! GOod luck everybody.

 

The Rice Owl's are going to shoot for 10 wins this year. Staying with a VERY powerful, A+ rated 'Bama team in the bowl--having the lead with just seconds to go--gave us confidence going into the offseason. That and winning 6 of our last 7 games. With a surprising recruiting class, we look to ambush some teams next year and maybe, just maybe give Houston a decent game to finish the season.

That's a good goal, I see you guys have been hanging in the CUSA with a decent record year after year. I definately see an improvement based on your recruiting class.

For the Bobcats, I think we can shoot for a 11-12 win season. We will once again have to compete with Kent State in the MAC East, but after that I believe we can stay consistent. We will have to avoid losing the non-conference games, although we have had back-to-back wins against Ohio St. the last two years, but have fell to middle-range n/c teams like Cincinnati this year. With a very strong bowl performance against Mich. State, and returning our top QB and RB in Phil Bates and Dan Porter, we look to improve on a good recruiting trend and shoot for a top-15 ranking next year.

 

Based on the guys my team were recruiting, it will be an interesting year for SMU.
