i dont like john mccain but his speech showed class. and when i say dont like, I mean i dont think hes right to be president at this time.
On september 4th 2008, the united states of america has officially elected a socialist president. The american people are scared and have given up. We now think that we need the government to do things for us. We need the government to pay for our health care we blame the government for the economy when it clearly wasnt the governments fault that Americans spent money that we didnt have. We have officialy given them the power to do what they want with our hard earned money by increasing taxes (for everyone) astronomically high. My family and i are over the 250000 tax bracket. The way that we spend our money and our entire lifestyle will have to change because of the new taxes. Im giving my money away to people who havent done **** with thier lives. I went to college for 8 years and worked my ass off only to see it given to a loser. Our new president will try to befriend historically hostile and communist nations. This is how the old America dies and gives birth to the United Social States of America. All of this because we as americans cant take responsibility for our own stupid actions.
I completely agree. It's textbook Socialism. America will soon regret this decision, to nominate Barack Obama the 44th President of the United States of America.
You know what Steel? In a way im kinda glad Obama won. Americans will realize what they have done within the first two years of his presidency and learn never to vote for a socialist again.
I'm sure the people who "work their ass off" will figure out a way to feed their family on 250,000 plus per year
*tear*..................nice date btw. Now America can be like: The Socialistic Republic of Australia The Socialistic Republic of Canada The Socialistic Republic of Finland The Socialistic Republic of France The Socialistic Republic of Germany The Socialistic Republic of The Netherlands The Socialistic Republic of the United Kingdom Even though this country is already extremely socialistic.
Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking. I am not glad that he won but this mistake to elect a Socialist President will soon be corrected. Hopefully...
wow the ridiculous ignorant progapanda continues on here even after the election eh? so none of you found anyth9ing moving about America finally living up to its own principals of equality and unity on the largest stage possible, for the first time in its history? if not then you are the totalitarian tyrant you fear most. Do you know what socialism means? Please explain to me what tenet of Socialism you strongly disagree with and why.. then please tell me what about obama's policies that you've found to be in line with this definition of socialism. I really would like to know where you guys are coming from. I was out there in Grant Park last night, it was a really amazing scene and feeling in the air and in the crowd that I've never experienced before. I'm very glad that we will have an Intelligent and reasonable person as "the decider". I think all of America would agree with that. It's over now boys, deal with it. You can stop all the name calling scare tactics that were fed you you as 50's era fear mongering. He's not a soclailist. If youthink so you ware using a warped definition of the word. If you think I;m wrong please tell me specifically and in detail why. If you can't do that you should be proud of America for finally Living up to the principals of Equality established so long ago. There's nothing to be scared of, the world still revolves, and at least now it has a chance to be a better place.
Didn't government expand the most in America's history the last 8 years since the start of the industrial revolution? So I guess that also makes Bush a socialist too
we're only safer since 9/11, if you don't count all the troops fighting and dying all the time in Iraq. not to mention the ridiculous number of killed Iraqi civilians. so you in you house have been safer, but the guy down the block that is In a ****ing war everyday is not safer. All we did was move hte battleground off of our shores. Big Deal. Still more soliders killed in Iraq than people that died on 9/11 what about ending the root causes of the fight?> NOTHING has been done on this front because bush won't even talk to enemies. So i disagree that we are safer, if anything we are less safe because our enemies have grown in the last 8 years sue to our inept and narrow minded foreign policy.
Ummmmmm no. First off the election is in november, yesterdday, not september, which shows the kind if mind we're dealing with here. The American people people chose hope over fear, if you call that giving up then you have no idea what's going on here. It's not that we want the government to do something for us, it that we want the government to do something else. no mar war under false pretenses, no more loopholes for big corporations to evade taxes. No more letting insurance companies take advantage of the sick and leave them under cared for. No more of going for the best political solution to save your own ass, but fidning out what the right thing to do is and doing it. Obama's plan is not to give universal health care run by the government, had you read or listened to anything besides right wing fear propaganda this whole time, you'd know that obama is going to work with the insurance companies to bring down the cost of premiums to those already with insurance, you keep what you have already and he makes it cheaper. no government doctors, just hte one you already have. His plan is to allow people that HAVE NO INSURANCE to be able to buy into a group plan that replicates the plan members of congress get. The bigger the pool of people with no insurance, the more the cost goes down to each individual in the plan. People buy into it at the discounted rate, with very little government subsidies. Wow, you're getting a little upset here eh? lets talk you down. Im glad your parents have worked hard and made over 250000 a year. in the 90's they paid a tax rate of 39% which was put in effect by bush sr. remember "read my lips, no new taxes?, yeah he didn't do that. why? the deficit had grown so huge under Reagan (who last lowered taxes on 250k+) that taxes were needed to keep the government running. Now after Bush Sr. Raised the tax rate to 39% the economy rose under Clinton, who kept it at that rate. Then Bush W Jr. comes in and howers the rake back to 36% as it was under Reagan (Reganomics anyone?) and then grew the deficit and debt even larger than Reagan had. Now we come to Obama, who is such a socialist that he wants to raise taxes on those making 250k back up to 39% as is was under Clinton and the end of Bush Sr.'s Terms. wow what a socialist, agreeing in line with a Clinton and a bush, Wow, really angry here, and all of this is compete nonsense. who is he gonna befriend Chavez? Castro? who? you bought into the fear mongering. spin, and lies of the desperate Republican Campaign. It's ok though, its over now. be happy that America no longer looks lice a bunch of racist slobs for a little while and forget about the fear anger and division and figure out hwo to make this a better place for everyone, not just your rich ass family with enough money already.
Yeah because we've done so well under Bush... Come on and wake up, I can make a long list of things Bush messed up. He has to of been the dumbest President in history... John McCain lost because of two reasons... 1) Geroge W Bush and how badly he's messed up the country... 2) Sarah Palin, couldn't of picked a worse running mate... trying to get the woman's vote back fired badly... Now the village in Texas can get their idiot back that they lost
I'm not going to get into politics here, but I have an interesting fact; more soldiers died under clinton than bush's term.
please provide any kind of basis for this claim. please. no wars under clinton means no dead soldiers. please provide any kind of facts to back this up because that is ridiculous.
this isn't where I originally heard this, but was able to google it pretty fast. I just thought it was interesting, that's all. No need to get defensive. http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/did_more_soldiers_die_during_bill_clintons.html
