Official I Got Into the XSN World Championships Th

Daryl said something about opting to share your info in your XBL account. Not sure exactly what he is referring to but he did say that is probably a main reason why many didn't make it in.

Also, click on "View My Profile." The match does not show up for me in the box at the top but it does show up under Active Competitions. Weird.

 

Daryl confirmed in order to play in the tourny you need an Advanced player. Those that got it on Beg. or Int. are in for a shock. I'm afraid it may spark alot of "coin tosses."

 

Is that controlled in the game in any fashion? Kinda lame if you ask me. I don't want to lose a round because someone doesn't have an advanced character.

Anyway, I woke up this morning and I'm now in division 3. Good thing is that I don't recognize anyone!

 

I'm in Div. 5 but I have a feeling this is going to be a joke. Someone is going to make it all the way through based on Coin Tosses. You watch.

I advise everyone who made it to read the rules, there's a section in there about mediation by the "commissioner" about your round, but you have to email him 24 hours BEFORE your round. I guess this would be in a situation where you couldn't communicate with the person.

I just checked mine and its not in my active competitions either but it is in the Profile screen. Quite weird if you ask me! :? And has it been confirmed that the tourney is only for advanced players? Cause if it is, it looks like almost all the people in my draw have only been in beginner tournies. But the real problem will be contacting these people, as I do expect to see a lot of coin-tosses.

Here's the deal with disputes. Apparently if you are trying to schedule your match and the other person ignores you and basically takes it to the coin you can argue your case:

 

The XSN tourny is set-up for advanced. I don't believe you can enter the match without an "A." See the dispute thread above. I have a feeling this is going to be more trouble than it's worth.

Bottom line. Just have fun with it!

 

In that paragraph that Shush posted, if you're actually on the Rules section of the XSNWC, one of the words in there is a mailto: link for the email address to contact the commish.

I just tried to email the commish via the link on the xsn site and both times it was returned as undeliverable. just a heads up to anyone else fearing there fate being determined via coin toss

He usually plays on Intermediate. Advanced mode was a bit of a shock for him mostly on the green. He had 33 skill points though. At least he was cool to talk to and didn't just quit the match. Good luck guys.

Just waiting for Reign Man to beat up on his opponent now.

 

Won my first match in the Div3 bracket.

I hit almost every shot with a blue or yellow streak and it was getting very frustrating. I was down 2 after 11 holes and eventually got it through my head that my controller wasn't calibrated so I disconnected and reconnected and won the rest of the holes....3up through 16 for the win!

 

Nice work. That whole controller thing blows, happens to me every couple rounds. How many people do you guys have to beat in order to get to the finals?

 

Their are eight 32-man "feeder" tournaments (match play). If you win that, you get a free trip to LA and $1000 cash to compete for the overall championship.

So, 5 match play wins and that gets you a free trip for two, 4 nights hotel in LA and $1000 cash to blow. Not to shabby.

 

In every other game there is only a total 32 competitors. I'm guessing there wasn't enough interest for the other games.

 

Nice job on the wins guys. I am not having too much luck myself, as my opponent has yet to answer anything I have sent him. I have emailed him, posted on the XSN site itself, and even added him to my Live Buddy List, and yet haven't even heard from him! :evil:

So what can I do, is there an email address that I can contact the commish at, because I have tried my best to contact him so now it is his duty to reply to my attempts. Any help would be appreciated, as I would hate to loose in a coin-toss!

 

Yeah, I think the commish's email is listed in the FAQ or rules or something. Shush posted the info somewhere around here.

Anyway, I think if you email them the threads and forward the emails you've sent, you should get the walk through to the next round.
