Official LG tournament: 6s Ladder with Buy-In

What is this large chunk? I think 10% is more than enough. I won't be participating if I'm giving my money away and playing for nearly nothing.

 

If you would like to talk to Tris about the percentage be my guest, Im not going to tell him what his time is worth.

 

I understand Tris would want a percentage for his work but depending on how much it is wouldn't it possibly be better to do it on GB if they aren't going charge anything?

Any site you go to will charge something lmao. Why would a website host something and just do it for free?

 

Yea but it might be a lot less depending on what tris has planned. Those sites already have the system in place to run these kind of tournaments. Like nuge said, tris would be starting from scratch so it could be expensive (I really have no idea since I don't know web design or whatever tris will be doing). I understand no matter where we go a cut will be taken, I'm just worried that if it's too big of a cut a lot of teams will not participate.

I'm going to have to agree with Girgs, if people agree on a set fee that is reasonable for both sides then I agree it will be fine here but with the buy in being $10 and the number of teams that will actually end up participating if 1st place is going to be like $200 or something there really isn't much at stake.

Your telling me that the amount of games most of these clubs play that even if all they got was there money back, get to play good big 6s every time, is not worth 10-20$? but you rather play nub 6s/random 6s of teams who dont give a fuck?. You are online playing the game anyway, go play 2 virgin games, make 10$ and done.

 

Great idea nuge but you got too many crybabies on this site to create a tourney for money. Tourney hasn't even started and money hasn't been collected and the bitching has already begun. Tris is creating this whole new section for us to have competitive 6's tourney's, with cash prizes. I don't think you guys understand how much to pay a programmer to do this would cost, let alone one that's has given you the best site on the internet to play sim 6's for FREE. I'm sure this first tournament, he will take a bigger slice because he has to create it all for the first time. If he's takes 10 or 40 percent, either way you women should be grateful.
