Only post in this thread if you have posted in the sign-up thread. Any posts here from members that are not officially signed up for the ESPN league will be deleted.

It's my intention to make the team assignment process as simple and equitable as possible so that everyone gets a team they are happy with. As a courtesy to our returning ESPN league participants, the team you owned & managed during season 3 will be offered to you again, as a right of first refusal.

However, if you did not complete season 3 (all 16 games), you will not be extended this courtesy.

This does not mean you will not get the team you had in season 3. It simply means that the team you managed MAY be bid on by another league participant. The commissioner will decide, based on your activity here at LG, who receives the team.

With that said this is what I would like you to do:

Returning ESPN League Participant

If you completed season 3 and wish to keep the team you managed last season, simply state that fact. You will be granted that team without question.

If you do not wish to keep the team you managed last season, or you are a returning ESPN League Participant who did not complete season 3, the team you managed last season will be available to the pool and you are to follow the process below.

New ESPN League Participants

If you are new to the ESPN league this season or fit into one of the categories described above you will list your top three (3) teams. Rank them in order of importance to you. For your top choice I would like you to indicate why they are your top choice. Nothing too elaborate just something that lets me know why you should have the team.

This will serve as an example and as my official team selection post:

3) :fnyj: (I am from NY and they are in my blood)

You do not need to explain each choice. Only the one most important to you. Also, keep in mind that the league will likely be limited to 16 participants. If that's the case, there should be more than enough great teams available.

1. :fdal: - Born in Ft. Worth and fan since birth.

2. :fden: - Been a fan since Elway came into the league. He's my favorite player of all time. I know he's retired but I didn't stop liking them as a team.

3. :fhou: - Closest to me currently and finished season 3 with them.

4. :ften: - They were once the Houston Oilers & also fan of

5. :fno: - 2nd closest team to me, indifferent as a fan.

Well, it seems some of my choices are useless. Stang had and wants Dallas, Lat will keep Denver, lilheavy wants Houston and quite frankly I'd just assume he have them, Willoman wants Tennessee and NoTyme wants N.O. Now, I don't know how much trades at the end of season 3 mean, especially considering the fact that nosice, with whom I completed the trade, isn't even looking to be in this league. However, I traded traded him Houston for Green Bay. If I can't have Dallas, I'd humbly request to get Green Bay.

Did a deal and traded :fsd: for the :fwas: so I guess I'm the 'skins. If :fmin: is available they were my first team in the first season and I'd be on that like socal on a Snickers bar.

I'll be keeping my team from season 3 :fphi:

 

1) :fmia: (Have been my favourite team since I was young. Even though their offense suffers with the loss of Ricky, I still like their D and won't give up on them)
2) :find: (Born in Indiana, but haven't lived there since I was very young. Gotta love Manning and the offense.)
3) :ften: (Nothing really special about this, but if I need a third choice the Titans would be it.)

 

I'll take the :fchi: again, and see if I can take this team to the Super Bowl again.
