Over the last few seasons there has been MUCH debate over host selection via Club Challenge and the PIN system. This debate has unfortunately lead to teams backing out prior the puck being dropped to try and influence or change the server the game is connected to. After an Owner's vote it has bee determined that the league will be adding in an OPTION for the home team to ensure the game is played on their "host" The theory always was that which ever team was "searching" first, the game would automatically go to the server that was best for those six players. In the past game, the server selection was always based off of whatever team was listed as "home" Below is the process that is being added to the League to allow the home team more control: View attachment 30267 z The home team will be granted the ability to SLIGHTLY modify the official PIN to ensure that the away team CANNOT search first thereby "stealing" host. By "slightly" modify, I expect the home to simply capitalize ONE or TWO letters in the OFFICIAL PIN. Once the home team manager as come to a decision on the adjusted PIN, he or she is to instruct the team to begin the search. Above the official code is lg6869he. Hersey being the home IF they wish could send notice to their opponent and the switch the PIN to be LG6889he. Since the pins in game are case sensitive, simply adjusting ONE letter is enough. Once the home team is searching, the new pin can be sent to the away team. The home team is REQUIRED to ensure that the AWAY has received the new PIN. The AWAY is required to acknowledge the new code. IT IS THE HOME TEAM'S RESPONSIBILITY TO GET THE NEW PIN TO THE AWAY TEAM WITHIN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME! IF THERE ENDS UP BEING A SITUATION WHEREBY THE HOME TEAM SENDS THE NEW PIN LATE, AND THEN TRIES TO DECLARE A FORFEIT WIN, THE GAME WILL RESULT IN A FORFEIT LOSS FOR THE HOME! Communication is the UPMOST of importance IF the home team is looking to adjust the PIN. THIS IS ONLY OPTIONAL! IT IS NOT MANDATORY FOR THE HOME TEAM TO DO THIS IF THEY DO NOT WISH! A MAJORITY OF TEAMS DO NOT HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THIS AND WILL NOT HAVE TO DO THIS. TEAMS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO BACK OUT OF THE GAME PRIOR TO PUCK DROP TO INTENTIONALLY TRY AND SWITCH HOST! TEAMS THAT ARE FOUND DOING THIS WILL RESULT IN THE TEAM'S MANAGER(S) BEING SUSPENDED! CONTINUED BACKING OUT WILL RESULT IN OVERTURNED GAMES!
