Ping / Lag Issues!

Anyone have a fix for this ???


My ping everyday all day every game jumps around from 30s to 50s with never a flat line my system looks like it has a heart connetced to it with how wavy my line gets i have tried nee ethernet cord , deleting and reinstalling the game , i have the best internet i can get and still nothing has changed it!!! Getting really frustrating i just want one smooth game!!!! Anyone help ????

 

I'm trying the namebench thing now as well as some other software. I'll let you know the results when I'm finished so you could maybe try the same thing.

 

Stop playing with people on the west coast

 

#1 Who is your ISP and what is your Up/Dowload speeds?
#2 Are you using the Modem your ISP provides or your own?
#3 How many people live in the same house as you and use the same internet and how many devices are connected to you Modem/router at one time?
#4 Are you hardwired or working off WiFi?

It is a common misconception that your speed has everything to do with your connection when in fact that could not be further from the truth. Basically as long as you have at least 20mbps down and 5mbps up that is all you should ever need to game online.

Brain lag is the worst

 

Don't feel like PS4 is meant to be played wirelessly.

I started out wireless with the router literally 2 feet from my PS4 and I'd still lag out and have crazy spikes, not my internet because I can play ffxiv and Pc games flawlessly.


Always encourage people to play wired, drop the 20$ on a 25ft cord, if you're serious about it.

 

I've noticed I lag like a bitch in HUT. It's absolutely awful. Not sure why as I don't lag in FUT or MUT games, and I don't lag nearly as bad in NHL 6s like I do in HUT.

And usually the connection meter will start green, and then turn red during the middle of the game. If I see any thing other than green, I'll back out at the start.

Not sure why it happens. It prevents me from playing more HUT honestly. I still generally have success, but it's like playing a stop-motion hockey game.

 

EA sports NHL 17.

Best thing you can do is stop playing the game. Hop on NHL only for your 3 games a week and hope for one or two good connection games.

 

Is that really the best you could come up with ???

Well, apparently I'm already on the best server for my area.

I managed to decrease my ping slightly by using a wired connection through a powerline adapter. It boosts my wifi signal and allows me to have a wired connection anywhere in my house.

Part of my problem was I had a bit of a deadzone for wifi in my basement based on my tests. Might not be relevant for you though.

 

Take out the network cable and blow hard on the jack.

 

You shouldn't be complaining about lag when some of us (like me) have an average ping of 40-80 ms, with occasional highs in the 1000's
