Remove ban buy-outs.
I'd say yes due to possible upcoming cross console play that may be introduced soon.
One possibility is if a player quits one league they are allowed to finish out season on other league so as not to screw over a second team. HOWEVER, the next season they are regulated to only 1 league period.
If player plays one season and then signs up for 2 and repeats quit, the punishment is doubled to 2 seasons on only 1 league. By 1 league it could be either Xbox or PS4 or a combo of both.
If it happens again...well perhaps full ban across all leagues for 2 seasons.
This is too complicated....people will just use 2nd tag for 1 if this is the process
nothing will be perfect, even full ban across all leagues they can just make another tag. Cant they track that on the website here? People have been banned for mutli tags before correct?
You cheated in one hockey league on the site so you'll be good on the other right? Fuck cheaters.
Why is this so cut and dry?
Bans as a whole should be situational.
If a guy is a bumbass then yes, ban him as an individule.
But ive seen so many dumb bannings, family and health issues should not be bannable offenses unless it becomes a repeated thing.
If he's choosing a video game over either of those then THAT should be bannable lol
if you dont have the time to play both leagues you shouldn't sign up. A lot of people not only xbox guys think "oh I will just quit if I don't play with so and so" makes it hard for owners to try and go after people in RFA and bidding having to worry about if they will play for you or not.
Has there been a ruling on this? @LG McDonald
We didn't even finish bidding and we already have an example of this rule not having any effect on Xbox guys coming to PSN and quitting when they don't like their destination (@Gwan )
This will change nothing.
What are you talking about lol? I'm banned from signing up on either console for the next 2 seasons
The main point for the 2 console ban was to prevent people from quitting in the first place. It obviously didn't prevent shit all so far.
Would you also recommend getting rid of prisons since crime has continued despite the deterrent?
I think you should re-evaluate what you're doing here if you're seriously comparing internet hockey to prison.
It's analogy. I'm not saying quitters are violent criminals. I just wanted to point out that this was never going to curb quitters 100%. In fact any successful deterrence would be impossible to prove without someone explicitly stating "I almost quit but didn't because I didn't want to lose my privilege of playing in the other league".
