I've always GRILLED idiots who have the time to make long writeups (@Darcy Kuemper), but I miss the AHL and I am a moron who lives for it, so I wanted to share a couple thoughts heading into bidding. *You're welcome AHL for stepping aside and letting someone else have a chance* WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS: Charlotte Checkers @Wickedly Moist was once an enemy, and although there are still moments I wish his dog would get out his back gate, he has proven that he is a great GM. He has a solid AGM in @GiveMeDaPuck, and almost enough guys on his TC to fill the entire AHL. My only concern with Moist is his addiction to making trades. If he can sit on his hands when things are going well, he will succeed. Interested to see how he does when not pulling Buttesville out of the gutter. San Diego Gulls On the way to the Calder last season, San Diego was my biggest concern. They have almost all of their core guys back, and I believe in the boys who run this team. They lost some big names on the back end, but I would be shocked to see them fall off last years pace. Concern heading in is defence, but those forwards are basically stacked before bidding. Look for a massive season from @ABankzy. Iowa Wild Is this @l Mackie l 's year? A once hated guy, who I wished had one bar of WiFi in his favourite room, Mackie grew on me as a guy and a manager. He has psychopath @im just a squid back, and #TheFaceOfLG as well. Mackie always builds good teams, and I'll personally be rooting for him to have another opportunity to win it all. WE WILL SEE ABOUT THESE GUYS: Providence Bruins @T9 GaLaRnEaUx19 inherited Stockton from me last season, and I must say, he has done some questionable things so far. That being said, his roster still looks awesome, and he is a legitimate #1 AHL centre. @LI Obito Uchiha is a stud as well, and an absolute character in parties. @JiggleJuiice and @Weavs x 19 are probably the best duo heading into the season IMO, but lets see what they can do without Freddy and Speedy on the back end. I think Providence can dominate this season if T9 can improve in the trade department, which I know he can do. Belleville Senators @xl NiTeOwL lx has played with me since S26, and is one of the best guys and best dmen that I've played with. He has always wanted to manage, and is finally getting that shot. Coming off a Mem Cup, @Schwifty Tip looks to add his management knowledge, and contribute to 2 sick free contracts on the back end. My concern heading into the season is the forwards. Using 2 free contracts on D is awesome, but I look for the Baby Sens to find a few gems to help out putting the puck in the net. Stockton Heat @Dunks is cute, and he's the kind of guy who deserves real butter in his Kraft Dinner. He is now proclaiming himself as the 554.5, which I do not endorse. However, with @Smitterr at his side as one of the best 2-way C's in the AHL, I like their management heading into the season. Dunks knows this league well, and I never count him out in putting together a solid team. My concern for them heading into the season is loyalty. The Bruins of last year were tied to a lot of the same guys, who have a history of not getting it done (sorry). If they can branch out, I expect the boys to be in the conversation for the Calder. YOU GOT YOUR WORK CUT OUT FOR YOU: Grand Rapids Griffins I like @SPLIFF N RUM, and I think he's a decent player. However, that's an awfully empty roster. Scouting will be key. Lots of work to do, but if it's done, expect these guys to be in the convo for Management of the Year. Laval Rocket Same things goes. I don't know much about @i need too P00 other than his name reminds me of something I would call my Neopet in grade 4, and he is a good guy from trade talks in the past. Lots of spots on that roster, with only ONE contract carrying forward from last season. Lots of work to do for these guys! ROOTING FOR THESE BOYS BEING BRAVE: @I Clutchy l and @I Nylander l - 2 solid players who are finally coming up from the C. Everyone doubted @Axey19 and I when we did it, but I expect these 2 guys to succeed at the next level. I love you AHL, and good luck to everyone in bidding. If I didn't mention you, make sure I do next time. 555
