    QMJ: The top 500k player on every team - Surely I could find someone for each team, right?.

    [IMG]

    Entering week 7, here's a summary of each QMJ team's best 500k player.

    Stats Provided:

    C: Record, Goals, Assists, Points, +/-, Faceoff %, Shot %

    LW/RW: Record, Goals, Assists, Points, +/-, Shot %

    LD/RD: Record, Goals, Assists, Points, +/-, Takeaways, T/G Ratio

    G: Record, Save %, GAA, Shutouts

    :team468:Acadie-Bathurst Titan:team468:

    [14-36-4, 32 PTS, 5th Place QMJ Maritimes, 17th in the QMJ]

    @MrBVA, RD

    [5-9-1, 1 G, 4 A, 5 P, -17 +/-, 35 TA, +2 T/G]

    Literally there was no one on this team for me to pick, and with almost 9 million in cap space, it’s not a big surprise that the Titans aren’t doing well. BVA only has 5 points but his record is slightly better than the team’s when calculated to 54 games. BVA also has a +2 T/G with only 37 turnovers through 15 games (~2.5 per game). He’s also somehow only -17 (the team is -90). Say what you want about MAGIC_MIKEY1 or c-fo-fizzle, but neither of them really deserve to be named best player on the team (and again, I’m not saying BVA is playing like a legendary player or anything).

    :team466:Baie-Comeau Drakkar:team466:

    [20-29-5, 45 PTS, 5th Place QMJ East, 14th in the QMJ]

    @Bradley3322, LW

    [5-11-2, 20 G, 22 A, 42 P, -15 +/-, 23 S%]

    Bradley and KingWillum were the two players I was looking at for Drakkar, but I chose Bradley. Both players are playing well and are holding their own against tougher teams. Both have similar records and point counts (Willum has 38). I could’ve chosen JoeyNova but he just arrived in Drakkar from Seattle, so I’m assuming that his points per game will drop. Honestly, the only reason I picked Bradley over Willum was the point count, since their stats are so similar.

    :team461:Blainville-Boisbriand Armada:team461:

    [31-22-1, 63 PTS, 4th Place QMJ West, 8th in the QMJ]

    @Flyersap, C

    [12-5-0, 29 G, 23 A, 52 PTS. +18 +/-, 62.6 FO%, 40.3 S%]

    I mean, do I need to say anything? He plays fine against tougher opponents (7 points in 2 games versus the Huskies), he takes good shots based on his shot percentage, and he’s a beast in the faceoff circle. There’s no way he goes undrafted if he plays season 8.

    :team457:Cape Breton Screaming Eagles:team457:

    [25-22-7, 57 PTS, 3rd Place QMJ Maritimes, 9th in the QMJ]

    @Austin2997, C

    [7-3-1, 13 G, 22 A, 35 P, +23 +/-, 53.7 FO%, 27.7 S%]

    Austin has 17 points in 6 games against the top teams in the Q. His +23 is barely less than the entire teams +/- and he started from TC after being randomly assigned at the beginning of season 7. Props to the man, looks like he definitely deserved a roster spot.

    :team459:Charlottetown Islanders:team459:

    [42-11-1, 85 PTS, 1st Place QMJ Maritimes, 2nd in the QMJ]

    @HAT_TRICK_LEGEND, RW

    12-3-0, 16 G, 33 A, 49 P, +32 +/-, 29.1 S%

    @Fresher_than23, LW

    [14-4-0, 32 G, 37 A, 69 P, +34 +/-, 39.5 S%]

    Well, if you need to know how good Charlottetown is, and how tough it was for me to make a decision on this, the worst of the 4 forwards worth 500k is at 3.2 points per game; I couldn’t pick just one of them. HatTrick is at 3.27 PPG while posting a ridiculous 26 points in 8 games against the top 7 QMJ teams (I use top 7 because these are the teams I feel have been good all season). This production against top teams is why I picked him. HatTrick also only has 1 game where he’s scored one point or less. Fresherthan has the most points on the team but has only posted 15 points against the top 7 teams in the Q (the fact that I have to use the word “only” here is ridiculous). That being said, Fresherthan also has a great shooting percentage and is effective when it comes to playing physical, having 65 hits but only 6 minutes. His numbers make him look like both a productive and an intelligent, smart player. Grondin wasn’t chosen because he’s played more easier opponents, Jte_nick wasn’t chosen because he has 7 penalties in 10 games and has a S% similar to HAT_TRICK. He also has exactly 3.2 PPG, the worst of the 4 500k forwards (lol). Snipester wasn’t chosen because he’s only played in 6 games yet has 4 penalties and is already at a -70 T/G.

    :team460:Chicoutimi Sagueneens:team460:

    [21-23-10, 52 PTS, 3rd Place QMJ East, 10th in the QMJ]

    @Alltro1, C

    [8-5-1, 15 G, 14 A, 29 P, -1 +/-, 51.7 FO%, 22.7 S%]

    Ugh, I really don’t wanna pick Alltro for this, and the only reasons I chose him were that 1) Bearbrook just got to Chicoutimi, and 2) cjwght only has 7 games, with 2 against a top 7 team. If cjwght had somewhere around 12 games on his plate, I almost certainly would’ve picked him (he’s great on faceoffs and has been productive in his games). Alltro has not been playing that well, posting 10 points in 5 games against top Q teams plus 2 games against top WHL teams (10 P, 7 games total). His shooting percentage is meh, but so are Bearbook’s and Cj’s. He’s fine on faceoffs and is the only one really qualified for this, so congrats I guess.

    :team364:Drummondville Voltiguers:team364:

    [31-20-3, 65 P, 3rd Place QMJ West, 7th in the QMJ]

    @AVS_SW93, LW

    12-5-1, 32 G, 34 A, 66 P, +25 +/-, 47.8 S%

    AVS and Neeposh_Patrick were the two players I was looking at. Lmso was considered until I saw that he pretty much takes a nap any time he plays a tough opponent. AVS and Neeposh are on the same line and it shows through their stats which are very identical. Neeposh appears to be more of a playmaker than AVS even though they both pick the playmaker class (Neeposh goes Jumbo) due to his lower number of shots and higher number of assists. AVS shot percentage just barely outclasses Neeposh’s, which is definitely not lacking at ~44%. Neeposh is fantastic when it comes to puck control, having a T/G of only -49 (and 54 takeaways), and even plays defense, as he has two of EA’s dumb blocks on his record, while AVS hasn’t taken a penalty in season 7. It was a coin flip; had Neeposh been within 5 points of AVS I would’ve chosen him because he’s better with puck control, but AVS just loads the stats sheet when it comes to offense.

    :team467:Gatineau Olympiques:team467:

    [15-37-2, 32 PTS, 6th Place QMJ West, 16th in the QMJ]

    Literally nobody.

    Gatineau has been overhauling its roster since the end of week 1, bringing in tons of new faces every week, and it hasn’t worked out. The only three forwards I would even consider all just came in from North Bay (since it’s current roster players), and I’m not reviewing the OHL right now. Gatineau has a roster forward with a PR of 10.9 (he’s only played 3 games, but still). There’s nothing more for me to say.

    :team456:Halifax Mooseheads:team456:

    [30-17-7, 67 PTS, 2nd Place QMJ Maritimes, 6th in the QMJ]

    @yobkcuf, C

    10-2-2, 9 G, 24 A, 33 P, +15 +/-, 56.5 FO%, 22.5 S%

    Honestly, I’m not really impressed by this guy, but I guess he deserves it. If 902-Dinosaur had a positive T/G, I probably would’ve given this to him. Yobk has had a decent season and is a good faceoff man, although it looks like he has trouble putting the puck in the net. He’s only played twice against teams in the top 7 of the QMJ, but he held his own with 5 points in those 2 games, not really affecting his PPG one way or another.

    :team469:Moncton Wildcats:team469:

    [13-39-2, 28 PTS, 6th Place in QMJ Maritimes, 18th in the QMJ]

    @Doubledose86, RW

    [7-10-0, 13 G, 27 A, 40 P, -25 +/-, 31 S%]

    Even with Moncton’s seriously horrendous record, I had 3 decent players to choose from, but Doubledose wins in almost every category. He has a better shooting percentage, had the most points, and considering Moncton is at a -161 GD, his -25 is fine. He has 8 points in 6 games against top 7 teams, but I’m not expecting him to do more on this team. The fact that he does have more than 1 PPG against these teams makes him a winner.

    :team463:Quebec Remparts:team463:

    [22-27-5, 49 PTS, 4th Place QMJ East, 12th in the QMJ]

    @S-C-A-R-F-A-C-E, LD

    [8-10-0, 2 G, 11 A, 13 P, -12 +/-, 76 TA, +5 T/G]

    Again, I had trouble finding a pick on the Remparts, they don’t really have any standout players. The only forward I considered was thelon66, but he’s only played 2 weeks for the Remparts - one where he was great, and one where he was next to useless. That being said, I feel that Scarface is the best D out of the 500k guys, so I picked him.

    :team397:Rimouski Oceanic:team397:

    [36-16-2, 74 PTS, 2nd Place QMJ East, 5th in the QMJ]

    @SilvaL15L, C

    [13-3-0, 26 G, 52 A, 78 P, +45 +/-, 46.8 FO%, 34.2 S%]

    Silva has been on 3 good teams now this season (Rouyn-Noranda, Windsor, Rimouski) and his production has been pretty solid. Even with a rough week last week, Silva is still better than the other 500k forwards on his team. I’m confused as to why he was being played as a center though, considering he’s not good on faceoffs and he signed up as a winger (his last game was his first played as a winger, so maybe Rimouski got the message).

    :team465:Rouyn-Noranda Huskies:team465:

    [45-7-2. 92 PTS,1st Place QMJ West, 1st in the QMJ]

    @MetroBoominq, LW

    [14-1-1, 29 G, 37 A, 66 PTS, +40 +/-, 40.8 S%]

    If Metro wasn’t on this team, I would’ve chosen @ses-DRAGON-ses; he’s been having a great season as well. Metro’s numbers speak for themselves. He has 25 points in 7 games for the Huskies since being traded from Sherbrooke, where he picked up 41 points in 9 games. His production may have fallen since being traded but he’s still at ~3.6 PPG with the Huskies, so it doesn’t make a difference. He has a great shooting percentage and is sitting at 26 points in 6 games against top 7 QMJ teams.

    :team455:Saint John Seadogs:team455:

    [22-29-3, 47 PTS, 4th Place QMJ Maritimes, 13th in the QMJ]

    @Noblood777, LW/C

    [9-8-1, 32 G, 32 A, 64 P, +6 +/-, 49.8 FO%, 24.6 S%]

    Obvious choice. He’s at .500 including the OTL even though his team is winning 41% of games, and he also has 26 points in 10 games against the top 7 QMJ teams.

    :team458:Shawinigan Cataractes:team458:

    [16-37-1, 33 PTS, 6th Place QMJ East, 15th in the QMJ]

    @kworker84, RW

    [7-10-1, 16 G, 19 A, 35 P, -21 +/-, 21.3 S%]

    Literally the only thing this guy has going for him is his record and his +/- on a pretty bad team. He’s only had more than two points in four of his eighteen games, he has a meh shooting percentage. If I could’ve picked no one I would, but unfortunately for me there were still forwards on this team who have spent a decent amount of time there (also can we get a rip for @Newf1991).

    :team462:Sherbrooke Pheonix:team462:

    [22-26-6, 50 PTS, 5th in the QMJ West, 11th in the QMJ]

    Literally nobody.

    LOL, all I can say. If @PatEthic had one more week in Sherbrooke, I probably would’ve picked him. If I had to pick someone I would pick their goalie Schwartz, because there's no one else to choose from, but Schwartz hasn't had anything more than an average season.

    :team365:Val-d’Or Foreurs:team365:

    [42-9-3, 87 PTS, 2nd in the QMJ West, 4th in the QMJ]

    @NaiveRealism, C

    [15-3-0, 15 G, 34 A, 49 P, +24 +/-, 56.7 FO%, 36.6 S%]

    Naive has played well for Val-D’Or, posting 17 points in 7 games against other top 7 teams. He’s great at faceoffs and has a nice shooting percentage. Why is BringEmDownOG not my pick? Yes, he had 19 points in his only week with Val-D’Or, but it was against three bad teams (Drakkar, Titan, Cataractes) so it’s not that special to me. Realism is also only at -60 in T/G, while BringEmDown is at -156. Naive also has 24 more takeaways than BringEmDown.

    :team382:Victoriaville Tigres:team382:

    [39-11-4, 82 PTS, 1st in QMJ East, 3rd in the QMJ]

    @Cmutimmah10, C

    [11-7-0, 24 G, 35 A, 59 PTS, +22 +/-, 62.4 FO%, 40.7 S%]

    Mutimmah’s record includes a lot of losses to top teams, 3 of which he was held off the points sheet (he does have 22 points in 10 games in total against these teams though). He’s elite on faceoffs, has a great shooting percentage, and even with all those losses is still +22.
