It's actually about bringing a couple big PS3 leagues here, but nobody wants to talk to me about it so I guess that's not happening. I mean, I don't see any support for PS3 stuff here, but I don't know too much of this place still. I'm just looking for a place to re-locate a Madden OF and MLB the Show league and thought this place could be it, figured it could use some traffic. I guess I'll have to find another plan then. No worries.

Off topic or not, I'm just glad people started to respond in here. With all the bells and whistles this place has it deserves more activity IMO.
Not much to know really. I was just going to try and see if they were interested in any PS3 activity as I'd look at moving my PS3 things here. Doesn't seem like they are, so I'll likely fold the Madden OF since nobody else wants to do all that work.
The numbers from March 2010 state 40 Million X360's sold worldwide to 35M PS3's sold worldwide. I mean, that almost makes sense.
But out of those 35 million how many still play it is what I'm asking... So yeah, that question does make sense... I have a lot of friends who switched over to Xbox 360 and their PS3's are collecting dust in a closet...
It's amazing anyone uses a ps3 for online.....connection is miserable, the chatting is miserable, download times are unacceptable....i could go on and on, But because it's free so people defend it. Literally takes over a half an hour to do certain things the xbox takes under a minute...game updates etc, etc. Embarrasing. I mean you cant even open menus fast. The games themselves are the same to me or negligable, but my god the online service is an absolute joke.
The better HARDWARE is hands down playstation 3. Maybe not so much anymore since the 360 slim but we still lack a Blu ray drive. The ability to upgrade our hard drive to something other than microsofts proprietary drive. Who utilizes their console and software better? Xbox 360 by farrrr.
I mean, you guys certainly have points with the online service, chatting is indeed a f'n mess but I would disagree that connections are horrible. As talked about in this thread, I ran a 30 team Madden OF, with interchanging owners (we had about 60 owners throughout our 4 seasons) and lag was never a problem (also disconnects for myself, once in 4 seasons, others it happened a bit more) I've not seen, but heard NHL is a mess with PS3. MLB the Show is more about game design than the system IMO. Killzone 2 was pretty damn smooth for me as was Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls and Fat Princess. That's the extent of my online play with PS3, but from strictly a connection standpoint, I'd say my experience has been pretty damn good. Farva has the biggest point, 360 makes the most of the features available, but at the same time you have to pay for the company to have resources to develop those features......which is coming to the PS3 in the near future with their coming premium (paid) service. I would say anyone calling the PSN a "complete joke" is pretty off base. Is it as good as Live? Nope. It is usable? Absolutely, just has weak features.
PS3 always has been a console for the future. Microsoft knows that and thats why I think Kinect will be awesome. If Kinect fails, the last half of this console battle will be taken by PS3.
