As a dual handed player who plays LD as much as RD, I've always wanted to add this before going into bidding, and I've wanted to know this about players as an owner. Some cons to not having this: - Some teams might not bid on you because you're forced to put either LD or RD - Helps owners not bid on someone who plays opposite handiness than their side (I've done this, and it's frustrating). - It's a pretty standard stat on real NHL players, and some people really value the differences - The "dual" option is just a bonus, but it helps identify players who can be a real help when line building/matching for games. Just a thought. I think the most important part is at least listing handiness of players in bidding, "dual" isn't that important. I realize though that you can assume most people are the handiness of the side they play (besides C).
100%. I play both sticks, both sides and it’s the biggest question I get on D. Would like to see teams give “off hand” d a shot too, way better against boards and vertical 1Ts
That kinda ruins the fun though. If a team is gonna bid on a LD or LW that they’ve never played with, against, or even watched play on twitch, it ruins the surprise if they’re left handed.
I think it’s best to leave the dual lyfe to the professionals kiddo .. pick a damn side and get less suck is step one
One of the better suggestions I've seen to date. Can't imagine this would be hard to add, or the first time it's been requested for that matter. Great post and idea!
I agree LG should should add another option to position selection when signing up for LG....’ bench ‘
