Playoff Rules All teams will name at least 11 starters (2 lines, 1 starting G) The balance of the roster will be reserves and marked on roster by the “IR” Away seed (Lower Ranked) must have roster and lines for 1st 6 games posted by Saturday @ 11:59 PM for each round. Home seed (Higher Ranked) must have roster and lines for 1st 6 games posted by Sunday @ 6:00 PM for each round. Teams may change roster and lines prior to each series. Game 7 lines: Away team must post by 6:00 PM on Thursday Home team must post by 9:00 PM on Thursday Playoff Structure Guidelines (Min/Max) A line may not play more than 2 games in a row. A player may not play more than 2 games in a row. A player may not play more than 3 games before Game 7. Starting Goalie may be scheduled/used in all games. 2nd Goalie may be scheduled/used as needed or at the team's discretion. If a player misses a game (doesn't show up) or has a change of schedule and can't make it (even with prior notice) the game still counts as a game or rotation as noted above and can not be rescheduled for a make up game. Reserves/Substitutions: After lines are made, starters are locked in and can not be switched or used to substitute in other games. Teams may use more than the starting 11 skaters if they desire. “Reserve” roster players may be used if a “starter” is not available for their sequence of game. If a player does not show, teams must use a “reserve” roster player as a fill-in. I believe you can use 2 goalies if you need/want to. I like the rule, it allows the best players from each team to square off each night. Should be a fun playoffs.
