LGAHL S26 ALL STAR GAME

So, with the ASG details being released on the podcast yesterday, figured I'd do a write up for those who don't watch/listen to media.

The All Star voting committee has started it's task of voting for the nominees brought forward by each team's MGMT. Once the teams have been voted on, I will post the matchups, which will be arranged randomly. Games will take place THIS Friday, March 24th, starting at 8:00PM Eastern time. On top of the game itself, there will be a Skills competition setup with 2 events. Breakaway challenge (we'll do this through shootouts) and also a Fighting Competition (done through club challenge/lobbies). This part needs more finessing and setting up so plan on the Skills Comp on being set for the weekend of the 31st.

Game1 West Pacific vs East Atlantic 9:00pm
Game2 East North vs West Central 9:30pm
Game3 Winner gm1 vs Winner gm2 10:00pm
The Team with the Least PIMS in their first game, hosts the championship game.

The following week, Friday March 31st...the winner of the above tournament will play a best of 3 vs the Management All Stars

Game1 Mgmt vs Players 8:00pm
Game2 Players vs Mgmt 8:30pm
Game3 Mgmt vs Players 9:00pm (if necessary)

Any players unable to make the game will be replaced as we have backup names and plans set in place already. All teams will be represented although, not everyone will get to play due to position numbers vs team numbers in each division. With that being said...if things are a success this season, there's no reason we can't expand to multiple lines per team next season.

Lastly...the winner of THIS little series will go on to play a team of LG Staff on Friday of week 9 (April 7th)...times to be the same as above. We're planning on ALL games being streamed, and if we get enough help/volunteers, we MAY even have play by play and/or commentary/interviews with players. If anyone feels like they can contribute to any of this, PLEASE CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY VIA LG PM. Make sure to put All Star Game in the subject line so I can sort it easier. I'll get back to those who msg by tomorrow at NOON on what your tasks/responsibilities will be. Looking forward to this event. I will address questions as they come whether it's here or via PM. One more addition to this that I forgot to mention. I would LOVE to try and provide some prizes in the form of HUT items. If ANYONE has anything they can contribute to the ASG, we're looking for any players of decent value that you may have sitting in your collection rotting. Any rare cards that you feel you have no use for. Anything at all. Worse case here, is that you end up with a bunch of items you can sell off for coins and buy packs. I know it's nothing big, and not everyone plays HUT, but it's all I can think of right now. So again, if ANYONE has ANY HUT items you feel you'd be willing to donate, please please please, PM ASAP, I'll get online and we can trade the stuff over. I'll be providing approximately 10,000-30,000coins worth of items myself. I haven't priced everything out on the current HUT market, but I know it's in that range. I am willing to GIVE this away to try and increase interest. So if you see that you were voted onto a roster, do what you can to play, there's something to play for!!! Even if you don't play HUT yourself...we all have that one friend who's day we could make a little better with some free items.

How are the donations looking so far? I really don't play HUT or I would be happy to toss in stuff.

 

I may be willing to donate an item but I'd like details on how the winner will be determined. I always vet my charities ahead of time!

 

I myself am donating approximately 30,000 coins worth of items, either via coins or the cards themselves. I have an anonymous donor who's looking to possibly throw in some Movember cards of really decent value. There's going to be live trivia during the streams with HUT items/coins as prizes as well. As for the winners, well...pretty simple for the tournament, winning team gets whatever amount we decide on based on how much we have. There's gonna be prizes for the Shootout competition (sktr and G), prize for the top fighter competition...all sorts of goodies...assuming we can come up with enough stuff to give away in the first place,

 

I dont know jack shit about HUT as i have never played it. I did trade some of my stuff to someone before but other than that you are more than welcome to raid my hut stuff for your prizes....just hmu

Yeah dude...just waiting on one more vote. I'm gonna PM the players then post it. If we have to due to the short notice to the players, we'll resched to next week, which isn't so bad cause it'll just increase the prize pool...but I'd like to try n stay as planned. Had a few hiccups as described above, trying to stay on track.
