The league is opening an NHL/AHL Manager Application thread for interested players whom are seeking an opportunity for a Management role at the NHL or AHL Levels. All Managers are selected by NHL Owners NOT by the League Staff! Role And Responsibility of an NHL Manager *Not limited to* Ensure the overall success of the team. Educate players listed on their current roster in all aspects of League rules and structure Represent the LG Staff and LG Website in a manner deemed acceptable by the League's Commissioner Agree to the terms outlined in the Management Expectations Agree to be locked into a one season commitment outlined by Article One and Three Understand that after accepting the role of Manager, a player cannot step down and buy-out their ban to return to the League that same season Participate in change discussed that are moderated by the League's Commissioner Abide by all rules and regulations outlined in the four Articles of the Constitution Agree to terms outlines within the Management contract issued by the NHL Owner *applicable if the NHL Owner chooses to draft a contract Reference Article One for more details on the roles and responsibilities for Managers. Reference Thread Selection Restrictions Player's who are interested in managing in the NHL, AHL or CHL next season are required to meet the following requirement: Was not issued a ban last season(S29 or S7) that was not revoked via the appeal system. *A ban buyout DOES NOT COUNT* Is not currently listed on the NML on either console Top tier ESHL / LGHL players will not be eligible to manage at a lower tier. Managers last season are not eligible to drop down a tier and accept a free (0 salary) management role. Player's under contract are INELIGIBLE to accept a management role of a team that DOES NOT hold the player's contract. In these situations players ARE REQUIRED to be traded for prior to accepting the Management Offer. Player's that are set to head to the NHL Entry Draft ARE INELIGIBLE to accept an NHL or AHL management role until AFTER THE NHL ENTRY DRAFT! If the player is drafted, the above rule applies. Player's are not eligible to accept a management role in a league in which the player's status does not allow the player to normally play in. ex: Prospect cannot manage in the NHL. All players currently listed on the No Management List can appeal her or her's case to be remove to the Commissioner's staff. Although goalie owners are frowned upon, I think my ability to physically play in and see 6 games a week would allow for better management of the team and "see" things that other owners would not. I am a loyal guy and enjoy the LG community (both good and bad). I've played at the ESHL level with varying success including a Open division championship, and I'm always grouping up with randoms to try and become increasingly familiar with the big names out there on LG. Although the Devils aren't in a position to "win now" I'd like to see how I can take the team and make a run both this season and build for future seasons with a core group. Even though taking ownership as a goalie is a disadvantage with the "free contract", I believe I can compensate for this with my ability to manage a group and see value in bidding as needed. ^ Only interested in above if chosen for the Devils please.
