It doesn’t matter who is better at the game or what coast they played on. My vote goes to who had better stats.

Regarding strength of schedule, I did a write up prior to week 8 on the Calder. It looks to have been archived already, and it didnt include the final week of the season, but the summary is that Anze and Giroux had an identical strength of schedule.

I spent a bunch of time going through each game played by Anze and Giroux and pulled the season W/L record for all opponents played. This helped mitigate the "good team, shitty 3rd line" or "bad team, top line" issues that JClaus ran into. The win % of the opponents played was identical.

    Take that for what worth.

I kinda agree with this but there's no way to prove it so there's no way to factor it in. Connection makes a massive difference tho

Can we please take into account the amount of scared little children ran from Colorado all season long? Colorado put Giroux in the same tough situations as Anze was in. Especially in the playoffs where he was in multiple game 7s and generally in any elimination scenario. Strength of schedule is a double edged sword considering Giroux didn't get to pick who his opponents were. Devil's advocate and whatnot

SOS only factors in the teams played, not the lines. He wouldn't be 'punished' for playing bad players on good teams. His SOS is low simply because he didn't play many playoff teams
