Before we start, I want to make sure everyone knows that no member of the committee was or will be allowed to vote for an award in which they are nominated. The Community Vote will be included in the final vote, along with the committee votes. Also, for Strength of schedule, the lower the number, the tougher your schedule. If your SOS was a 7.8 (Conf) and a 15.2 (League), your average game played would be against the 8th place team in the conference, and 15th in the league as a whole. Really high=really poor SOS. The finalist for the Rookie of the Year Award for Season 8 of LGAHL PSN are: xOglowkeyyx, C Overall Production: 102P, 42G, 60A, +62, 3.63PPG Vs. Playoff Teams: 12-3-1, 50P, 24G, 26A, +26, 3.13PPG Vs. Finishing tied for 2nd in the league in points at 102, Og outscored the next closest rookie by 14 points. Scoring at a 3.13 PPG clip against playoff teams, Og showed that even against the better competition he was able to continue his production. Gaining 47 out of a possible 56 points, Og was a strong presence for the league leading Hartford Wolf Pack. JVIysterious-, G Overall Production: 81.7SV%, 1.89GAA, 7SO Vs. He did not disappoint, earning 86 out of a possible 110 points for his team. Sporting some of the best goalie stats in the league with 1.89 GAA and 7 shoutouts, mysterious was able to keep his production consistent against both playoff and non-playoff teams. oshlag, C Overall Production: 73P, 29G, 44A, +38, 3.04PPG Vs. Playoff Teams: 6-3-0, 26P, 9G, 17A, +12, 2.89PPG Vs. Centering a line for the 2nd place Rampage, oshlag used his distributing skills to put up the points. Oshlag rewarded the Rampage picking him after he had very little exposure in the prior season in the CHL. Cmutimmah10, C Overall Production: 83P, 39G, 44A, +39, 3.07PPG Vs. As one of the leading rookie goal scorers at 83 points, cmutimmah was able to keep consitent production against both playoff and non-playoff teams. Although Bridgeport did not make the playoffs due to the way the format is down, it is safe to say that Bridgeport would not have the argument to be a playoff team without the success that cmutimmah had this season. noahswick14, LW Overall Production: 88P, 63G, 25A, 0, 3.26PPG Vs. Playoff Teams: 4-5-0, 31P, 23G, 8A, 0, 3.44PPG Vs. Non-Playoff Teams: 11-5-2, 57P, 40G, 17A, 0, 3.17PPG Record: 15-10-2 Strength of Schedule: League (19.03), Conference (9.48) Team Performance: League (14), Conference (8) After playing goalie for most of his time in the CHL, noahswick made the change to LW for his first taste of LG outside of the CHL and did not disappoint. Pacing the entire league with an incredible 63 goals, noahswick went along with the thought that you can’t lose when you score more goals than the other guys. Although his record was poor against playoff teams, he was still able to put up the points against them coming in with a 3.44 PPG against the top half of the league.
Shoutout to @JVIysterious- though, guy was what, a late 2nd/early 3rd round draft pick, and stepped in right away to be a starter for the Rampage? Even though he never played goalie in LG before? That will always be impressive to me, sucks that probably one of the best rookie seasons of all-time by Og just so happened to be in his rookie class.
Think it was only offence. ! This leagues all about points they could care less about defensive roles if they ain’t scoring they ain’t good ! Should be two different awards nearly impossible for a defencemen to compete against forwards
