People have been asking this in the chat box so though I would make an official post on how the signups will work now and throughout the season NHL BiddingAnyone who signs up before Jan 4th 9pm EST AHL Bidding Anyone who signs up before Jan 11th 9pm EST CHL Bidding Anyone who signups before Jan 18th 9pm EST CHL Random Assignments (part 1,) Anyone who signups up during Jan 18th 9pm to Jan 25th 9pm EST and anyone who wasn't picked up during any of the biddings will be randomly assigned to a CHL team CHL Random Assignments (part 2 - while the season is going on, rookies) Anyone who signs up once the season starts will automatically be placed on a CHL team based on an algorithm. They will be noted as "Rookie Status" and can not be called up to anything higher then AHL for that season. After the season ends they will go into another process for bidding that Brodie and the commish staff will announce soon. #FreeAgentFriday Anyone who signs up during the season, will need to be given "rights" to an NHL organization. We will handle this process the same way we did for Seasons 15 & 16 of the LGHL. Each Friday, all the new signups for that week will be randomly assigned "NHL" rights based on the needs of that NHL organization. Users who get assigned will be put on that AHL teams roster but with the distinction of "Training Camp". For other details about how to clear AHL training camp and contracts, stay tuned to Brodie's Constitution announcements.
Yeah, not looking for assumptions at this point in the game. It might not even be an issue where it matters.
Well if you go into NHL bidding as a forward, you shouldn't be able to switch to defense in between NHL and AHL bidding. If somebody signs up during NHL bidding they should be able to switch their position till the AHL bidding deadline. Agreed.
Yes, in a technical way, once the list is closed for bidding processing, no one will be able to edit it. This would mean there is no position change cut off date and that's ok too. I have just come across this question a handful of times and this would be the section that it should be stated. I know that absence/lack of a rule means there isn't one. I was just looking for an official word.
This is a good question, and something that is going to be tricky. Basically since the bidding boards flip right into each other (AHL Starts right when NHL Ends, CHL Starts right when AHL ends), there will be no down time to open up position changes in between, so The last possible time to change your position is Jan 4th at 9pm EST
I think it's automatic now in the Action Centre tool. I don't think the commish has to review and edit it in the sign ups. (This is posted somewhere)
To clarify how to request that: On the LGHL controls Select News>Action Centre Select a action Request > Pre-Season Position Change
