SpedTalk - AHL Preseason Edition

Hey all you cool cats and kittens, for those of you who dont know me i am Sped and i use to do a weekly or biweekly write up on random stuff through out the season and called it SpedTalk.

all SpedTalks are strictly opinion based Articles ... and well my opinion doesnt really matter so dont get butt hurt.


first i am going to do the top 5 HOTS of the Pre season (for those who participated)

1- - the Rockets i put 1st Strictly because a nice 6-2 record but an astounding 38 goals scored in those 8 games the rockets led by scoring threat @Le_Homie_Yosh look to be an offensive threat early on. lets see if they continue this early success in the season.

2- - The crunch were only 3-0 but the reason i have them up at #2 is a near perfect 2 GAA in 3 games as well as 12 goals scored. they have a great mixture of defence goaltending and a potent offence.

3- - the phantoms come in at 3 with a 4-0 record and a very modest doubling the amount of goals they scored with how many they let in 20-10. lets see how this team shapes up.

4- - My very own Wolf pack there may be a little bias here but starting off with a 6-2 record and not playing your star player @jared2112 one time yet is something to cheer about. again this is only pre season but i expect big things and a great turn around for the Rangers organization this year.

5- - the Marlies come in at 5 although owning the preseason point leader right now they also are tied for most amount of games as well. but its their drive and willingness to get games in to practice that will help make the Marlies a decent team this season.

Now for the dreaded NOTS of the playoffs i am only gonna do 3 of these cause positive should outweigh the negativity and well my lunch break is ending soon

3 - - the sound tigers the reason i have them coming in at 3 is because of the 3-4 record as well as allowing 35 goals in 7 games which is on average 5 goals a game. if the sound tigers want to be successful this season they are going to have to work on the back end.

2- - the baby pens go from the calder cup finals to number 2 on the NOT list the reason they end up here is because the 2-6 record. however i do personally thing the baby pens have a decent squad and this will not be their outcome come regular season. They will have to right the ship fast though.

1- - the Roadrunners found themselves as the Pre seasons worst peformers with a 1-6 record with guys like bmauro and boske this shocks me a little with first time AHL management Kystew (i think) is he gonna have a fairy tale season or continue to ride the bottom of the barrel only time will tel.

Ok before you say shit about last seasons baby pens. You should probably figure out that we aren’t the pens anymore... we swapped to the Blues/Rampage organization.

 

this was already discussed in SB i already know you guys vanity swaped but that logo that franchise was in the Calder cup finals its up to this team to live up to that.

 

By that logic, your team has been downhill since S8

At least there were awards that seasons don't like how they were done next time you step the fuck up and do them. If you don't have the balls to do them then sit down and shut the fuck up. At least I gave it a fucking shot what is the most you ever done to help the league. Yes the awards weren't prefect but at least there were some. Jesus for once in your life shut the fuck up and stop shitting on other people for trying to do something

 

Also @dshann88 didnt see you bitching when Mike naughty did the same thing 2 seasons in a row and didn't do sos %. So I am sorry you feel the need to think you are far superior because you need to inflate your fucking ego
