As we move into the 7th Season of the LGBA and NBA 2k16, we want to hear our member's thoughts on the current state of the LGBA, Suggestions for future improvement, and any ideas to make the league more engaging and more enjoyable to play in.

All and every type of thoughts are welcome in this thread, so don't be afraid to speak your mind! We want to know what you guys want to see in the league if you're going to continue to play in it.

Examples can include: How many teams you want to see for next season, league structure, add or get rid of rules, ways to make more people want to play here, how to make the league more engaging for members, etc.

That's just a few examples right there. There is a lot of room for discussion about many topics in this thread, so hopefully we get a lot of participation.

I've over heard some conversations regarding game nights. Instead of playing the same team twice that night can it be two different teams?

 

It's doable but it's always been back to backs so it's easier and quicker to do "run it back" games. You also need to chase down 2 teams a night which was also a concern. It can be a headache.

But I'd be ok with the change if guys were up to challenge.

 

Disconnect rule.. I'd love to hear some opinions on that

 

1. dont limit us to non playoff teams lol

2. lobbies dont even go up until like 5-10 minutes after the hour. crack down on timeliness.

1) owners wanted and voted as a change of pace for final season.

2) thoughts on punishment for starring a lobby late?

3) it has been discussed. I'm not a fan of these leagues but we have noticed the trend.

 

3rd one was a troll, cash prizes arent necessary. just start making people give up possessions or something that will make people not be late. i wake up early for work and these games last forever i cant stand starting games at 11:30

 

Dont let the Owner, Gm, Agm w/e you want to call it play every game during the week. Set a max for everyone.

 

Max is 5 for all management

 

We'd rather let management run 5 games than have forfeits. We could minimize it down to just Owner, or just Owner and GM?

 

What do you guys think of 4 Game nights instead of 3? Do a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday game nights? It'd be more games and more chances for people to play.

 

For being on time, have the team lose the tip and then give up the first two points.

 

I'd think more harsh. 5 minutes is that, 10 minutes is 10 points, 15 is forfeit loss.



But we need video evidence to prove guys were on and waiting at that time.

 

I want to see more teams even if you have to take the restrictions out for maximum number of games someone can play so that there will be more teams

 

I don't think max games is the issue. We just don't have guys signing up management positions. It's something to look at for future though.

The hope is that 50% of gm 's turn into owners next year.

 

Bingo this league needs to get more people having more owners this season for example would have been useless because when we started bidding there was 60 people signed up which was only enough to fill the 6 teams and that's if all 60 of them people actually played which we all know they didn't. Before this league goes looking for and wanting more management you need to find a way to get more players

 

The disconnect rule is really bad in my opinion. If two people disconnect it should be a loss and if one disconnects they play it. Now if two disconnect with two minutes left and ur team is up by 40. That's a different story. But if the game is winnable and two disconnect it's a loss. The make a new game rule messes up the closer badge which literally won every game that my team won. I would agree with what someone said above which is that we play diff teams. Cause if the team doesn't have enough people then we only get to play two days in the weekWe should add Wednsday as a game day cause three days is not much.Thanks for reading. 1. I see what you mean about disconnects. However I personally see it as a little bit harsh. Now of course if the same team keeps disconnecting 2 players all season, then we look into it.

2. I also like the idea of two different teams in one night. That way you get a chance to play at least one game, if one of the teams doesn't have 5.

3. If we still have 6 teams, I think 3 game days is more than enough. However it is very very likely that we will be adding more teams as we expect to get more interest in this league. So let's say we go to 8 teams. 4 game days is very likely as well, whether that's Sunday or Wednesday.

 

if you swap from nba players to your mycareer player and play thru a pro am team ... I could prolly bring in at least 4 more teams to this league. it just depends on how lazy your current roster is
