Taking Stats on PS4

Taking stats should be easy and here at LG we ensure that you as management spend as little time as possible inputting manual stats so that you can focus on more important things like running your team.

When taking game stats, pictures are to be uploaded and free of major errors within 24 hours after a game’s conclusion.

It is the responsibility of the Owner/Manager listed as the MOC to ensure the stats and pictures are correct and uploaded on time. If no MOC is listed all members of the manger team are held accountable for the infraction.

Owners/Management can assign a Player prior to the game to be responsible for taking the pictures of the game stats and Player stats. A Player who is assigned to this duty will need to be listed in the line-up as the assigned person for that game (a camera icon will display next to their name in the line-up). Any Player who is assigned this task will take the responsibility to ensure the photos are uploaded before the deadline.

To take stats simply play your game, take six photos of your stats using your smartphone and follow the process outlined in this video to ensure that your stats are all recorded:

note: The video mentions that your smartphone is not required, this is for XBox One users. On the PS4 you will need your smartphone and the LG application.



Please note, it is mandatory that stats are taken for every game, including preseason. During this time it is suggested that teams have as many players as they take stats to ensure they understand the process for the start of the regular season.

 

There is 6 photos you will need.

1) Game Stats
2) Home Skater Stats
3) Home Goalie Stats
4) Away Skater Stats
5) Away Goalie Stats
6) Box Score (Showing goals by period)

 

And remember this step is important:

Click on Your LG Account Name -> Personal Details and enter in your NHL 16 player name, see mine below as an example.

 

There is no OCR button on my LG app. It looks like my opponent in the last game may have entered stats incorrectly because it shows a 0-0 score. I still have the end of game up on my ps4. i wanted to try entering the stats but there isnt an ocr button. Im on Android.

Two things:

1) Do you have Version 4.1 of the app?

2) It might be best to take the 6 pics first before doing it in the app. Since the app doesn't save the pics (if memory serves) to your phone, this allows you to do the backup plan of uploading them to the site from the My LG > Input Score (located next to the Rules at the top).

Please note that the OCR indicates it only currently works in Internet Explorer. Tris is a huge mark for Google Chrome, but unfortunately IE 10+ is the only thing that uploads/processes the pictures to the site.

As said above, Sony is not as cooperative to LG's efforts as Microsoft is. We will continue to make improvements to make this easier. We certainly expected problems, which is why we made sure to have a healthy enough schedule for the pre-season so we could help everyone have confidence on how things run before the real games count.

There's a learning curve, yes. But it's easy to manage.

is there a way that we can take pics and upload them via the app rather than the OCR just opening up the camera?

 

Looks like our second game last night as saved, but the pics I uploaded via the app didn't get processed successfully. When I got up this morning (~9.5 hours after uploading) the OCR was still sitting at 80% done on team stats and hadn't even touched the other two sections. The photos all show up on the game, if that helps.

I think this is where the problems lies . I know i and others on my team have this blank. Is it possible the program just doesn't recognize the players names??

We all should follow up with our teams..

 

We take screenshots, upload them to twitter then save to a phone or computer. Is there a way to upload pics from the app or is it only through IE?

 

I did the same thing. Took Screenshots using the PS4 and transferred them to my computer using a USB External Hard Drive. After transferring them to my computer I copied them over to my phone hoping I could upload them using the LG APP but no dice. I hoped back on my computer and tried to upload them using chrome and then the Microsoft edge browser but neither seemed to work. After I uploaded the screen shots using the Microsoft edge browser all it was showing was a square box with a X through it. After I manually entered stats and double checked them the screenshots were there.

 

I do not have the OCR option on the app. I have version 4.1.1 for Android. Any ideas?

 

can we get a demo with the android app? this is not giving any ocr option.
