It's a tie between Rusedski and Roddick. Extra bonus if I know the speed?! 149 mph

I *think* that Rusedski's was Indian Wells, or somewhere in the US and Roddicks was on grass, perhaps Queens Club.

Interestingly enough, fivey years ago, Ivanisevic missed a 154mph serve by less than an inch. His highest recorded is 139mph. Wow!

Hmm...that is a tough question. Steffi was less deadly on hard courts...

I think Navratilova. Although she was more formidable on grass, she played so many years, it just seems like she would have that one.

    I say Nav.

Martina all the way. She won 5 matches just this year with getting to the Semis this year in mixed doubles. And I think she played ladies doubles as well.

If it is anyone except here, I want to see the proof.

I made sure the question was worded right, and didn't exclude doubles play. She should easily have the most wins.

She isn't playing the old league, she is playing womens and mixed doubles. Not over 35's or whatever.

My information indicates the correct answer is Chris Evert.

I know Martina has won a ton of titles and matches at Wimbledon, but it appears Evert won more at the US Open...

i'm searching for the specific numbers...

Laver - that's an easy one. Tougher to do nowadays with so many great athletes in the game.

I wonder if Martina holds the record for most slams in a row - she did win six in a row - French from one year, all the way to Wimbledon of the next.

oops, I was WAY late on that one. Martina may catch up yet now that she's returned to doubles and mixed doubles action.
