The Leaguegaming Golf Tour (LGGT) Update

Im liking the play at your leisure as long as it's done in that week period. I will definitely join the tour. Any word on price of the game yet? How much was the PC version for reference? And as for user created courses, it will only be a matter of time. I have avatar golf on the 360 and i have a bunch of courses some guy created that are replicas of Augusta, pebble beach, sawgrass and St Andrews. This tour will definitely only get better and bigger in time.

then why the xbox buttons on the screen?

 

You can use a wired xbox controller on a PC. Hence what you are seeing.

 

What does the X in the logo stand for?

I'm working on convincing [MENTION=4]Tris10[/MENTION] to change a couple things when it comes to the logo and general branding.

It's all still work in progress, but yes....the X would be Xbox.

 

I think LGPGA would sound good. As for logo i think the current one is a great base, just changes the Abbreviation. That 'x' just doesnt fit lol

 

I have been checking out their forums every now and then and I have seen a few things but nothing is "confirmed."

Sounds like August 20th might be the release date. There are "rumors" going around that Microsoft is the ones holding up the approval process but HB is giving very politically correct answers.

Also, I saw this on their FAQ:

Will there be multiple difficulty levels in The Golf Club?

No. Everyone in The Golf Club will be on an even playing field, bringing skill and practice to the forefront of the experience. Difficulty levels will be determined by the courses chosen and aids used to play. There are a number of course aids that can be toggled on or off within the options menus to make the game easier or more challenging (such as no Wind Meter, Green Grid, Shot Target Zoom, etc.). As mentioned above, for Tours and Tournaments, courses and aids used can be set by the event creator.

Have we thought about the aids that we will be using? All aids off for the "pro" tour and some aids for the "amateur" tour? @Tris10 and @PHJ314 any comments?

 

I'm too lazy to look, but is this game cross-platform PC to Xbox One? Please say yes because I would like to save $600 and start golfing today!

 

For the moment, the league will kickoff as XBOX only, there are no immediate plans to host a cross platform league.
I think we'd like to familiarize ourselves with the game, the playing field, ease of play, etc. across platforms before we consider something like that.

Does this game support a Ryder Cup format for tournaments? I think adding the Ryder Cup to the LT would be awesome!

With LG being a diverse community, Canada v USA or Cananananada v USA v World formats would be a really cool way to pit countries against one another and to encourage the community to "team up" once a season. To set the teams the co-commissioners can choose the team captains and 20 top players per country for them to choose from (or something along the lines). That could be the one event per season where it is scheduled so the players, that are not playing, can tune in and root their country on

We will have to see what game modes there are when the game releases. i'm not sure if the capability to play in a foursome will be there right out of the gate.
In the future, If the game allows for us to do this type of thing, then I can assure you it's something we'd look at doing.

For the moment, it's building up the Tour itself, establishing a solid member base of players that are going to play EACH and EVERY week. It's my experience, that after a few weeks of NHL being out, I can assure you that these 7-8 pages of signups will be more like 2-3.

 

They will only have stroke play for online play to start. I believe they said later on other game modes will be available to play online

 

Sounds good, by the time I am on top of the leaderboard, we can start talking Ryder cup.
