The LGGT Season 2 Suggestion Thread

Hi guys,

In anticipation of the upcoming season, we would like feedback from the community. What did you like about LT? What did you NOT like? What do you think we need to do to improve for Season 2?

Here are some suggestions of things I would certainly like to discuss:

-- Merge XB1 and PS4 league to one LT league. Remain console only, though. That is LG's community.
-- Season discussion - Should there be longer season, shorter season.
-- Course discussion - Should we have themes as we do, or seek the best courses in general. Should we form a Committee who discusses the courses used? Should we create a database that we can individually rate courses as a community?
-- Tour discussion - Was three courses too many, too few, just right? Should we keep the amount of points for the non-Primary Tour of the week, or lower it?
-- Tour discussion - Should we establish a PGA Tour and a Lower Tier Tour? Would that appeal to you, or lessen your interest if you were in a lower Tour?

What other suggestions do you have?

Merge the consoles for sure. More people in the weekly tournaments would=more fun, for me anyways.
Season Length I feel should be just a tad longer. Perhaps 16-20 weeks.
I prefer weekly themed tournaments, just as it is as well as the majors..
A database that we can all access for course selection is a great idea....
One tour for all...

Whatever happened to the auto score entry option that was in the works?

 

I'd say a merge of the two leagues is definitely the right move. On that note creating a bottom tier/top tier format is something I dont think we have the numbers for yet.

I enjoyed the length of the tour. If it went a little longer it wouldnt bother me. I also enjoyed the course environment format.

I know alot of people were interested in a playoff format which I think could be alot of fun.

Otherwise, I almost feel the idea to keep this is as simple as possible is a good thing. Not to over think or to be too ambitious. But to grow at a pace that the tour could sustain.

That was all on the currently (and not expected to change) failed promise of HB Studios not providing the data stream for it to happen.

 

Update with a handicap system that I really like...I'd also like to see a score check system or something like if your not in the game scoreboard you can't submit a score..

 

Let me clarify that.....this will be season 2 everyone had all of season one to learn to navigate the game...If you dont play in the LT tour thats set up weekly in the game and your scores can't be verified in the game then any score you post here shouldn't count..if the game screws up you get booted or you just play the course on your own or any other of the umpteen thousands excuses i read about on here as to why your scores not on the game scoreboard or on there twice or whatever....then manup take your lumps see ya next week...just my thoughts oh yea and the new handicap system...we should implement it somehow in the weekly tours..and merge to ok im done lol

 

We've been having discussions about the Handicap system. How do you manage it? People can play great in tour play, stink up the joint in regular play to jack up their HDCP, then try to use that. Now we'd have to start monitoring a separate HDCP system from the game. I like the whole idea, since I have a GHIN Card (I'm a 22.8 HDCP in real life), but not sure how you implement it here fairly.

 

Maybe don't use it in the first tourney and use it in the second...as far as padding a handicap? Someone wants to go to that length just to try to get to the top? Congrats to them..they got to live with it...

 

Agreed with above, you could make the second tourney each week a handicap stableford event, with a similar points weighting to last year, HCP sandbaggers aren't going to do well unless they try their best in the first main event as well, where more points are available.

Bottom line, no system is immune from those whom want to cheat it, but one needs only to do the best they can.

 

Interesting idea, forgot about the Stableford System being established. I highly doubt I have the flexibility to have one tournament be a scratch event, the other stableford.

Interested as well. This game wasn't on my radar, but glad I found it. First golf game since Links 2004 I've been excited about.

 

And I would sign up for both a regular tour and a handicap tour. Although the handicap system allows for some unethical behavior, it sounds interesting. And I would imagine the handicap manipulators will be pretty apparent.
