3,000,000 Problems I Don't Have - Season 30. While I was on a 2 month Forums mute, @Waxibono went ahead and created an exceptionally entertaining thread, "$3,000,000 Reasons Why I'm Better than Darcy Kuemper". Although my cult following got back at him pretty good with some logic, I decided to use some real statistics that actually mean something. This is my response @Waxibono If you are interested in how I create all of these super in depth threads, here is a link to the google docs that contain all of the statistics I pulled out of the League Gaming website to calculate my results. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lMn2ehcwu3U35ABcMJ-TlifU0jFqr3ama3fHkOsDkCw/edit?usp=sharing Support the news team, like, comment & share your thoughts on their work
Darcy, you are by far one of the best goalies I ever played with, but have you also factored in the teams you both play with? Like theres alot more needing to be done to complete this argument lol. but i will say very impressive darcy!
I wouldn’t put much merit in factoring playoff teams vs. non-playoff teams. That’s way too vague a category to make judgments off of, because some bad teams have good lines and vice versa, some teams in the playoffs weren’t a playoff team a week ago and vice versa. You’d have to be more specific in regards to the difficulty of opponents faced when making a comparison like you’re doing. Otherwise, there’s too much gray area for it to really mean anything.
I see what your saying, but check out the google docs. I legit factored every single player that Waxi & I have played this entire season and put it into a Strength of Schedule category. Also, if any of you think this thread is serious I’m just poking fun at @Waxibono I really like the guy and respect his skills.
I’m not suspecting you of anything. No hate here. I’m just saying that category is too vague to really make an accurate measurement. Just something off the top of my head would be to calculate the overall record of players you faced, which can then be subcategorized as forwards and defence. For example, you’ve played players with an overall record of 567-257-45, and Wax has faced a record of 457-370-58. Clearly you’re playing tougher competition, so when comparing stats that offers a more accurate representation that people can refer to. I see it all the time, and it happened to me last year, and will likely happen this year when being referred to as a “scrub hunter.” Most people are only referencing playoff and non-playoff teams. Again, a stat that’s just too vague to accurately describe the level of competition one faces. I like the in-depth analysis, but it’s just a flaw I’ve seen in numerous other analytic reports, not just yours. Interesting read, regardless.
@Darcy Kuemper @Waxibono You both should enter the Goalie shootout when it's up and ready. If you both are as good as you both claim to be then you should end up going against each other at the final round vs the best of the shooters available in the tourney (hopefully will grow to be the best stick handlers and skaters in the league).
*clears throat* So this is how the fuck you clap back. This is like when Nas responded to Jay Z's "The Takeover" with 'Ether'... Except I am undefeated in our head to head meeting this year.
Idk what the ruckus is about, it’s pretty obvious @Darcy Kuemper is one of the best if not the best goalie in the AHL atm.
Where is the in-depth analysis of playing behind a first place team like Providence that gives their goalies 4 goals of support per game vs a last place team like Syracuse that puts up 2.5 goals per game?
I've done that and it took me about 20 extra hours of work. But if you'd like to see it, here you go. https://www.leaguegaming.com/forums...az-bastien-memorial-award-nominations.272929/ https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QYrPJAQsbKe73m57O47o0FM4XRbbm3elBKYRYdYptD0/edit?usp=sharing
