And once again, we are back for what is getting to be such an crazy turned season here in LGFA PSN. Just when you thought that the race for the league was a forgone conclusion for the boys at RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, the staff at EA Vancouver decide to throw a huge lifeline and now the race for the title will all come down to this final week. 5 teams technically in contention to take home the coveted prize, with 3 team within touching distance for the league title. It's going to lead up to what could an emotional finale. It was a very interesting week, full of emotion from the league games and last minute gasps in the race for the 4 coveted spots in the DFB-Pokal Semifinals, but we have ourselves TOTW 4 to look at, with 1 team in particular taking full advantage of the teams above either slipping off the pace, or rescheduling their matches to make their final week that much more intense. Less to say, the teams via for spots can make or break the hopes and dreams for everyone in question. No more teasing, our TOTW 4 Winners await. Ah and thank you @cerb-EXE for the cards! TOTW 4: GK: @Javier (FC Schalke 04) 4 Games Played: 20 Saves (90.9% Save Pct.), 2 CS [7.1 AMR] As the weeks have progressed, you can see the race for the Golden Glove slim down to 3 main competitors. This man is one of them as he continues his consistent performances. He's the second unanimous TOTW Player! Only allowing 2 goals in 4 games, he is still capable of making tremendous game saving saves that has kept in games and for the race for the title. LB: @Destiny (FC Schalke 04) 3 Games Played: 6 INT, 6/10 T (60% Tackle Success), 2 CS, 25/29 P (86.2% Pass Completion) [8.0 AMR] A returning TOTW player as he continue to man the left side of the field for a staunch defense. At the end of the day, as much as he enjoys earning individual accolades, he's looking to keep his team in the fight for the league title, and will have to continue to do so if he expects to push for the title at stake. CB: @Mayor_35 (RB Leipzig) 4 Games Played: 14 INT, 4/5 T (80% Tackle Success), 1 CS, 6 Blk, 29/33 P (87.9% Pass Completion) [7.9 AMR] This marks the 3rd time in a row that we feature him in the TOTW XI, his consistent performances came up under a bit of fire on Sunday with 2 straight losses and even 3 goals conceded to a Hertha BSC team under new management. Alas, he was able to help rectify the situation and come back strong on the Monday games to put himself back in the list. His team faces the final week of the season the strongest of the three teams, but still the situation is simple, can they contain themselves to the very end to seal the title for themselves? CB: @Gireud (FC Schalke 04) 4 Games Played: 10 INT, 4/7 T (57.1% Tackle Success), 2 CS, 19/22 P (86.4% Pass Completion) [8.0 AMR] The anchor of the defense looks to help bring the title home to the folks at Gelsenkirchen, he along with the other notable defenders in help continue to keep the opposition at bay, as they've only conceded more than 1 goal only once in league play all season. Will it be enough to spur the comeback to the top of the league table at the of Gameweek 5? RB: @alonzi401 (Vfl Wolfsburg) 3 Games Played: 2 INT, 5/6 T (83.3% Tackle Success), 2 CS, 25/29 P (86.2% Pass Completion) [7.6 AMR] Ah, a new player emerges to break into the ranks of the TOTW! His team hasn't had the best of seasons, or even the season they were expected to have from the Pre-Season, but he still pushes his team forward and now will be playing spoiler as they face both Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig on Sunday! His team has seemed to find a way to keep the goals to a minimum and that's propelled him to claiming his spot into the TOTW! DM: @BLUESfan1997 (FC Schalke 04) 4 Games Played: 1 A, 9 INT, 6/9 T (66.7% Tackle Success), 2 CS, 2 Blks, 42/53 P (79.2% Pass Completion) [8.3 AMR] I enjoy seeing myself here, though this week was a little odder than last week, I still can't really do much for writing up on one self. So I will once again speak on behalf of the team that I manage and play for, 5 wins and we can win the title. Fight until the last second, or forever be second best yet again. CM: @Devil_Clutch1 (Hertha BSC) 4 Games Played: 2 G, 2 A, 44/53 P (83% Pass Completion), 3 KP, 4/4 S (100% SOT), 8 INT, 5/5 T (100% Tackle Success) [7.2 AMR] The creative mind behind the sudden resurgence of Hertha BSC, he helped lead them to a shock win v. RB Leipzig that kick start the slight slip up on their end. Now his team can play spoiler for both FC Schalke and RB Leipzig as they face them on Sunday and Monday respectively. The way this league was set, they may be the key fixture to end a title run and if they wish to do so, they'll need him to be at his best to make it happen. CM: @Cosminnn4 (FC Schalke 04) 4 Games Played: 1 G, 3 A, 47/57 P (82.5% Pass Completion), 7 KP, 3/5 S (60% SOT), 5 INT, 9/25 T (36% Tackle Success) [7.4 AMR] A back to back TOTW player, he's finally coming in here stronger than before. Helping ignite the attack that had stayed slightly dormant for weeks on, his numbers finally show in full force as he can get his creative juices flowing at such a critical juncture for his team. Will he be able to keep up with the pace to finally break the hump and land himself in the winner's circle? LW: @finkleberrie (FC Schalke 04) 4 Games Played: 5 G, 1 A, 39/51 P (76.5% Pass Completion), 12/14 S (85.7% SOT), 2 KP [8.6 AMR] One of two heads of the monstrous front that spear headed 32 goals in S8, he's finally been able to break through what has been a huge rut in his career in LGFA PSN to finally find form as continue to mount their chances at the league title. Can he keep himself composed as the final week awaits him? ST: @cupid55 (FC Schalke 04) 4 Games Played: 5 G, 2 A, 26/30 P (86.7% Pass Completion), 7/8 S (87.5% SOT), 3 KP [8.5 AMR] A rough time for him as the games passed by and wasn't able to consistently able to bang the ball into the back of net. He returned into the fold and was able to provide and score goals in regularity once again, his timing for the return heavily needed in the eve of the title race. S8's Most Improved Player looks to take his talent and show that he's not a 1 season wonder, but to be classified among the elite. RW: @vClassiCz_MeRkz (Hertha BSC) 2 Games Played: 3 G, 1 A, 21/25 P (84% Pass Completion), 5/5 S (100% SOT), 1 KP [8.9 AMR] Sometimes, it doesn't take much to make a statement in the league. And sure, he may have only played 2 games. He did manage to score the hat-trick vs. @Mayor_35 and RB Leipzig, and it seems with that, he was able to knife out his claim for his first TOTW. Big things lie ahead for him and his team will need him if they want to end out the week in a better spot.
