Trade Deadline Weekend - The Review

For the most part, Season 28's Trade Deadline was heavily over shadowed by Leigh Valley's open house, and in retrospect wasn't that exciting. I'm going to cover the majority of the trades involving roster players, however, i reserve the right to ignore trades that are boring/TC related.

Let's begin!

The Penguins have traded opauG & l KaV l to the Phantoms for Und3rsh0tkid87

10/10 - Penguins acquire a top line forward in @Und3rsh0tkid87 and fill the gap left behind by Payfer. Hopefully he will bring some stabilization to the Penguins and be the piece they've been looking for. Top notch trade by WBS management.
1/10 - Nope Nope Nope Nope Nope...

The Phantoms have traded xWallyMacx & I TeMoZ L & Ambient I37I to the Barracuda for Eichel9 & Ten Brickz & xl NiTeOwL lx & WhoUseAllTheTP

4/10 - Average forward and solid defensemen for two elite defensmen and a second line center? RIP
10/10 - Apparently Eichel was a huge cancer for management. Definitely don't want those on you're team for a playoff push...San Jose got pretty lucky here and this trade really rounds out their team into a higher caliber version.

The Phantoms have traded Joonetic & aLEGENDaRY MiSO & pcfox77 to the Comets for CO11C & DekeaSaurusRex & Eh CanadianHobo & BenSchwarmer21 & Coach Crass


6/10 - Joon is a great pickup for Utica, he will easily fit right into their second line in a pivotal role. Fox is an ok pickup, he has had his struggles for sure. Look for him to rebound and anchor a mediocre D-Core for Utica.
0/10 - Honestly what the fuck...you could've milked this a bit more Darcy, you might as well just asked for nothing...

The Phantoms have traded ThatZachGuy to the Wolves for JaguarJeff13 & xH3ARTL355x

2/10 - Two Active Defensemen...i guess that is a plus?
10/10 - Chicago acquired the front runner for the Eddy Shore Award by giving up two mediocre defensemen. Hell of a trade. Look for Chicago to make a huge leap in the standings with their bolstered defense core.

The Ice Hogs have traded I ltachi l to the Comets for Tatar l21l

6/10 - Tatar is a good upgrade for Itachi in my opinion. Look for him to take on the starter role for Rockford.
4/10 - Meh. Don't really understand this trade, Tatar has been a far more reliable backup than Itachi. I guess clearing his cap?

6/10 - Reliable backup, look for Phantoms to flip Itachi to Stockton.
1/10 - Might as well just given him to Stockton if you're going to call up Hearing. Could've gotten a better deal

The Phantoms have traded I ltachi l to the Heat for COD GotProblems & AFRams & IVIDewMan

6/10 - Two Amateurs and a good backup goalie for one backup. Nice! Look for both to be called up.
3/10 - Probably payed a bit to much for Itachi but i mean...you can't put a price on love can you?

The Phantoms have traded Fredddy023 & QUEBEC MONTREAL to the Reign for l1l Little l8l & Bruins4Life97 & FearTheRask40

4/10 - Little is just as good as Freddy, however, he has poor availability which really weakens LHV...
7/10 - Freddy brings great availability, french finesse, and a winning record to Ontario. Hopefully he is the spark that brings this team into the French Poutine Land.

3/10 - You could've gotten so much more for Fox
8/10 - Penguins traded their worst forward for a second line center, and former Calder champion Fox....Hell of a trade

The Wolves have traded Outlaz75 to the Condors for Rico Suave FLS.

2/10 - Outlaz has had his fair share of troubled games this year, not the ideal person to give up for a second pairing D-Men.
6/10 - Really will help stabilize Chicago's D-Core and be a great backbone as they push for a playoff spot

The Moose have traded SunriseSkydiver to the Condors for Giroux

5/10 - Not really a downgrade or upgrade TBH. Kudos to Salty for sending Giroux to a potential Calder favorite.
6/10 - ^^ Giroux will probably improve Manitoba's third line, bringing some more offense to it.

The Wolves have traded Danbernak to the Condors for deathstwr99

3/10 - Bakersfield already cleaning house...he didn't last very long. To be expected nobody wants a toxic pancake on the team
5/10 - Not much of an upgrade but an upgrade all the same.

The Barracuda have traded xWallyMacx & cob13 to the Eagles for Ricky is MVP & Neil x 25

8/10 - Wally is a stud, he's not worth Ricky or Neil combined. Great trape for the Eagles, though you're team doesn't exactly look "stellar"...Should've flipped Wally to another team for more.
4/10 - Meh. Neil is good but lets be honest, Wally has had a phenomenal season so far and could've been a runner up for the Eddy Shore Award..Cob for Ricky is good but you didn't get nearly enough in return for Wally.

The Stars have traded l3EAR 22 & oOoKiLLToWN0oOo & Wickedly Moist & Tomidius & Frank Longworth to the Eagles for Rallo x 74 & Rhyan & o Panda o Panda

4/10 - Frank is a good pickup, hopefully he can have some more success for the Eagles.
5/10 Irrelevant Trade Texas Flipped all those players.

The Stars have traded SAND MAN257 & Jrod is Awesome & o Panda o Panda to the Crunch for TraeHD & ajm123

5/10 - Crunch are getting some active players and not to bad ones either. Good trade for both teams
6/10 - Hopefully Trae and AJM can help stabilize a mediocre D-Core but Texas will have to grind to make the loffs.

The Phantoms have traded l1l Little l8l to the Wolves for Just Whiteyy

5/10 - Little's availability isn't that good but he is far far better than Whiteyy, meh trade..
7/10 - Great trade for Chicago. The Wolves are gearing up for a big playoff push and only increased their chances by adding @l1l Little l8l . Look for him to make a huge impact.

The Wolf Pack have traded l Moniz l to the Senators for Jbarnsey

3/10 - Clearing cap is one thing but you could've gotten way more for a player like Barnsey...
7/10 - Big Contract to a non playoff team, don't really get that. Look for Barnsey to be flipped to a playoff team

The Wolf Pack have traded Jbarnsey to the Condors for nothing
The Oilers have traded Glitch Goaling & 1st Round Pick to the Rangers for nothing

Not to sure to say about this trade. Bakersfield is to far out of the playoff race to make a push so I'm not sure why Poopie would make this trade if other than him calling up JBarnsey to the NHL. Either way the Oilers organization gave up way to much when both Bakersfield and Edmonton are non playoff teams. Not to much sense to this trade. Good job by New York/Hartford for flipping Jbarnsey for DP's. At least Barnsey ends up on a decent team and hopefully finish the season strong

The Ice Hogs have traded Chell Hero & Ennis x 63 & Hamburglar421 & Magik Road & Cynthesis21 to the Wild for Ballzy06 & Konecny x 11 & KRUNKEY & T Kuharski & DSA Caron18

6/10 - Wild receive all amateur players whilst giving up mostly veterans. Look for Ennis and Hamburglar to get called up. Great Trade for Iowa.
3/10 - Hmm...Acquiring Konecny is good but didn't really get anything else besides Veteran TC's.

The Wild have traded Ennis x 63 to the Rocket for HA G0T EMM & ROMAN95

7/10 - Laval reunites Ennis with his line, nothing surprising here. Look for that trio to really help Breezy and Co. take the load and carry Laval into the loffs.
7/10 - Ennis gave "1 Day Availability" lmao. Even trade regardless, both teams getting top centers. Got Eem will be a great person to have as they maintain their playoff position.

The Moose have traded S2NxPuckStopp3r to the Monsters for Regs84
Luusky has cleared Training Camp

5/10 - Cleveland giving up potential Top Defensmen in Regs for Puckstopper who has only faced 1 playoff team so who knows if hes even good...
7/10 - Making room for Luusky and retaining an active TC who could be very helpful down the road

The Wild have traded Cormier x 99 to the Gulls for Its Yinner & Tricky x 91 & UTackleFatKids

6/10 - Cormier is a proven AHLer, and the Gulls pounced as soon as he became available. Great job!
5/10 - If Tricky can replicate his CHL success in the AHL than Pogs is a genius, if not then RIP

The Eagles have traded GoTxDaNkx to the Rocket for l Vector x 12 l & SlyCerealKiller & Payner

4/10 - That 2 million $$ cap though. RIP
8/10 - Laval cleared some major CAP here and got a backup of equal skill, perhaps better than Sly.

The Checkers have traded Juke 4K to the Gulls for The Red Serpent & Fuzzzzzy l29l & x Neal x 21 x

7/10 - Juke is back on the Gulls!! Big addition for them as he will offload some much needed scoring up front.
4/10 - Getting some good active players

The Stars have traded l Costello 33 l & Rhyan & I2elaxation to the Wild for SMS Fan 3 & Will D 5 & Cynthesis21 & HA G0T EMM

5/10 - HA is good but TBH you gave up a bit to much for him.
8/10 - Iowa got two good forwards for HA and an average D. Both Rhyan and Costello had success on a mediocre team so if they can play the way they did for Texas, Iowa will be in prime position to make the loffs.

On the Tatar trade, he asked for one because he doesn't think he is good at this game, wasn't performing and didn't want to hold us back. That man is a 10/10 on the teammate scale. Plus his cap hit was harmful. I'll always love me some Tatar Tots. We also got a pick with the trade for what it's worth.

On the Itachi to LHV, Itachi was, for lack of a better word, being a cunt. Wanted to be waived and argued for it for hours, then the next day demanded 6 games. Utica only has room for one headcase. I was hoping LHV wasn't going to trade him, but alas what is done is done.

Thanks for the kind words, but there are better candidates than me for the Eddie Shore. Especially since I'm now on a non playoff Wolves team where we do the same shit over and over again and don't shoot the puck at all.
