Traides With Hutton V2 Bakersfield Edition??!!??!!

I'm sorry about the late content fellas. Long story short my work meeting on Sunday ran later then I thought. This past weekend we saw a couple blockbusters happen, as well as some shitters getting traded for each other (Chicago trades Dan Hutton for his long time line mate @Bryce18xx716)

Texas Stars trade @SkjeiHeyKid x76 (5-6-0 2G 6A 8Pts +2)
Colorado Eagles trade @AmAziNg H2oNo2 (4-7-0 0G 5A 5Pts -3)

Both Dmen have not had very successful seasons so far, i see this trade being more about a change of scenery then anything. From my experience both of these guys can play 2nd pair on just about any team in the AHL this season. AmazingH2o is an old school guy that used to dominate and Skjei was a 5million dollar dmen last season. Both teams involved are bottom feeders so the true test will be if either of these guys can elevate their respective teams into playoff contention. As for right now I have to give the win to Colorado, I believe Skjei is the better dmen but not by much.

Dave didn't even have time to unpack in San Jose before the trade was reversed and he was sent to Cleveland. Both dave and timbo have similar stats this season with dave having a slight edge. Dave and timbo are both good Dmen but id have to give the edge to Cleveland on this one, timbo put up horrid stats playing on a hot Cleveland team while dave has been stuck on a weak Bakersfield team. Keep on eye out for daves stats to skyrocket while timbos will continue to fall.

What a blockbuster! We saw former first round picks traded for each other, a bunch of roster Dmen traded and two players from this trade called up to the NHL rosters (Depo and Lucas). Horton is beast so don't let his stats fool you. Stats wise though, MB7 looks to be the best player traded in this deal, he was having the best season out of anyone on Bakersfield so its shocking to see him traded. Depo and Lucas were called up to their respective NHL teams which is very interesting. I'm not sure if that was the plan while trade talks started though.. If you look strictly at the AHL pieces then Milwaukee traped Bakersfield for their best two forwards. Milwaukee is starting to look like a real contender in a weak central division.

What in the actual fuck was this trade? Gentry is an absolute STUD and was traded for literally nothing useful to Bakersfield. Can we get a slow clap for @DudleyDoWright5 and the rest of the Bakersfield management for this one.... Congrats @Lorenzo x 24 and @rG Breezyy on acquiring a first line forward for breadcrumbs

Can anyone explain the Bakersfield vs Manitoba trade? As an outsider it looks fishy as hell. Is something missing in the writeup or is that really the trade?

 

Manitoba also got a 3rd round pick from Edmonton. So that makes it worse.

The real kicker is it looks and sounds like it was a trade by Snoopy and 4th. I can't imagine how those trade talks went.

4th: 'Gimme your best AHL player and a 3rd round pick, and I'll give Bakersfield 5 TC players and a G they can waive'

Snoopy: 'Sure sounds completely fair, quality < quantity.'

Not that Bakersfield who is already 10 games back had a chance to make playoffs, but handing players away for nothing.. Oof.

Also found it a bit weird. Only 3 weeks into the season and they handed off a winger who only needed a few solid linemates to play with and it would have made a worlds difference

 

I've defended Snoopy in the past in the NHL CB from people saying he shouldn't be an owner because people won't play for him and whatever, but when your NHL is in last place and then you start fucking with the AHL and handing players away like a soup kitchen.. Hard to defend that.
