ok well i've had this suggestion in mind for quite a while now, i've mentioned it to a couple of people. i'm going to toss it out and see what everyone thinks. have a regular season as tris mentioned with about 20 games + wc's. depending on divisions and such a certain number of teams will make the playoffs and get seeded. a good portion of the league will make the playoffs because that's how it should be. a giant tournament branch such as the one in hockey or links that was created. #1 seed at top #2 seed at bottom and so on. every team will have to play a home and away each round and scores are taken on aggregate (an away goal is worth 2 and home worth 1) if it's tied through 2 games then some type of overtime has to be constructed. anyway everyone plays these games up until the finals where it's just one game for all the glory. once again just a suggestion. thanks
