    =P~ =P~
CBS (the HDTV leader) will be broadcasting the U.S. open in HDTV, although i'm not sure it is the entire tournament or just the final , either way it should be amazing. I saw a small preview from last year and tennis looks incredible. You can see evey seem in the new, the sweat from the players.

If you don't have HDTV yet i strongly suggest you get going on it.

I just hope i'm back in Canada to view it

    It looked great year.

I'm not a huge fan of tennis, but I watched the finals last year just because they looked so good.

For anyone else with ESPN-HD, the Home Run Derby will be in HD tonight. =P~

So far it's only on DirecTV and a few cable companies sprinkled around... but they just launched, so it might take some time to get them carried on everyone's cable system.

Oh well, like I said, one day I will enjoying HD programming like you and Tris do. They say cox cable will get HD by the end of this year, or at the latest, summer next year. So it's just around the corner.

Yep. Looks as good as last year. Unfortunately though, like last year, they only have HD coverage at the Arthur Ashe court. You'd think CBS/USA could step up and maybe buy a few more HD cameras and related gear?

This years U.S. open was absolutly fabious! I've always been a tennis fan, and (somewhat) a player and i don't think i've ever been more drawn to a tournament then this year and i credit it all to the HDTV broadcast. You get a real sense of speed that the ball will travel and how hard they hit it. Also really nice low-level view that was probably 10feet off the surface, you really feel like your right there in the action. I think this will be the only HD broadcast of a major a year which is a shame, but i really look forward to next years US Open
