Media Week 2 Question: Are the San Jose Barracuda Clutch or Lucky?

Hey everyone,

At the end of this week I decided to take a look at the San Jose Barracuda

The Cuda have started out well this season and are currently second in their division going 13-5-0 this far in the season. They have the second most wins of any team when going into an overtime period going 4-0. The team also has a -8:18 Average Time On Attack and only a shot difference of 1.

I would like to open the debate on this subject in the community and see what all of you believe.

For me I personally believe this team is lucky. Let's be honest, 13-5 could easily have been 9-9 and then we would be questioning what happened to this team.

But i would say lucky, and if you look at all the changes the managements did.. you would notice that they would agree... 1/3 of the team changed! And it looks for the best!

Can win easily with - time on attack and shots. as long as you keep there quality shots down. rag all you want if your not getting quality shots its for nothing. Wait for team to make a mistake and go the other way for a goal. see it all the time. Part luck part clutch IMO

I beat them

 

Our defense is stingy as all hell. Other teams can keep cycling all they want but when they try to move out from behind the net, GOOD LUCK. This squad is reliant on strong play of our D, and we are grinding out the close ones. You know how many OT games there are in the Stanley Cup Playoffs? Are the winning teams lucky?

 

Playing and winning close, tight games... call it luck or skill is besides the point. It's great experience playing tight games and will help them to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations.
