Hey gents, I keep hearing conflicting opinions regarding the correlation between the ping one player has on a regional server, and whether it warrants the excuse of why (for lack of a better term) they suck. This much we can likely agree on: 1. LT's are easier to perform on a better connection 2. Small changes in angle and contact for hitting/bumps seem more consistent 3. Input delay/lag makes your guy feel slower and less responsive 4. More penalties tend to result with your stick as you are "behind" the server (this point is debatable) I think LT's and maneuvering through the areas of the ice is about the only skill gap in this game, and yet I can't help but feel like it seems impossible to keep up when you have 70+ ping. Is it an excuse? is it night and day difference? The only true evidence is when teams get "west coasted" and lose -- but is that just a bitching mentality distracting you from playing your game? Take @Karmuh x 86 for example, who is very good, and will play the same regardless of east or west (70+ on west). I mention him just as an example of being successful regardless of perceived disadvantage, and maybe we all just need to hit practice mode? Some people have literally quit LG cause they were tired of the lag. I would be very interested if anyone wants to share their ping on each server. Maybe LG should create a new stat for adjustments to lag.
