Off-Topic thread, I know. I am curious to know what you guys are using for clubs out there. Who knows, maybe this thread could end up being helpful to someone looking at a club, and they shoot that person a PM about it and get their opinion. Here's my bag anyways; I usually shoot ~90 on my local 18 hole par 71. Driver: Callaway X-Hot 9.5* (Adjustable Loft) 3 Wood: Nike VR_S 15* 5 Wood: Nike VR_S 19* 3-PW Irons: Cleveland Tour Action Irons (Steel shafts, Older model) Wedges: 48* Cleveland RTX 588, 54* Cleveland RTX 588, 60* Ceveland RTX 588 Putter: Cleveland Classic Series Blade #1 I'm currently undecided if I'll upgrade my irons with a end-of-season deal this fall, or wait until spring, other than that I don't see myself getting rid of any of my other clubs in the near-future because I love them. So, whatcha got?!
Dude, can you even swing a golf club. The NHL community will understand this one I played once since my 2nd son stole my free time, so honestly, I don't remember, but I have some pretty good clubs with hybrids to replace the low irons.

Something guys might not know about me, but im an avoid golfer, been a member at a private course for 5 years and play 2-4 times a week. Driver : TM R11 (still works for me) TM Blade Irons 6-AW TM Fairway 3-5 TM 56 & 60 degree wedges TM (not sure the name but has a huge back head) Putter
Blade irons eh? Don't think I'm good enough for a set of those lol. I need the forgiveness from the cavity backs. I'm guessing you fill the wedge - 6 iron gap with hybrids? I'm leaning towards buying a combined iron set w/ hybrids.
I'm in the same boat as Mav with the kids, and buying a new house, so no golf this year. I have Adams Super S Irons and hybrids. Custom made sand wedge I've had since I was 16. I'm 36 now. Taylor made putter, Ping driver, not walking down to garage to get the names, totally eluding me right now.
Driver- TM R7 Superquad 8.5* Aldila NV 75g x-stiff shaft 3+ wood- Callaway ERC II Hybrid- Cobra Baffler Pro 19* 3-pw- TM RAC blades 53* gap and 60* lob- Cleveland Tour Action 588 Putter- Scotty Cameron Futura/Scotty Cameron Studio Design 1.5 I've had my irons, 3-wood, wedges, and putters for around 12 years from when I was playing high school golf. I purchased a new driver and replaced the 2 iron 8 years ago when I was pursuing a career in golf to pass the playing ability test for the PGA.
I was playing 20-25 times a year, was down to 4-6 times with 1 kid, down to once a year in a tourney with both. Next summer I am putting my oldest (he'll be 5) through some golf lessons to be able to bring them both with me in a few years.
I used to play twice a month, I haven't golfed in years. Note: Don't have kids if you want to golf. But I am going to try and get started back up. At the time I was between +10 and +18, so my TGC scores reflect my real life ability. Also am a lefty, so there's that. Driver: Nike SQ+ SUMO (4950?) 10.5 Stiff 3W/5W: Wilson ProStaff Stiff 3-PW: Nike CCi Forged Blade w Dynalite S300 Gold Shafts AW: Nike CCi Cast Iron w same shaft Putter: Some off-brand one that looked cool and came with my starter set so I never wanted to part with it. All fitted with some nifty custom Winn Tampa Bay Lightning grips that I did myself. Snazzy.
I retired from playing about 12 years ago due to my health but like tris10 I was a member at a private club and used to play 3 to 5 rounds a week and at one point had my handicap down to 5...I lived and died with Cal a way clubs and retired using my original Big Bertha that I had for close to 20 years..,I also worked on the grounds crew and live about a mile from Oakmont CC.. Been to 2 US Opens 1 as an employee and can't wait for 2016..…damm I miss those days...
Due to my job, I have the privilege to have a lifetime membership on a very nice course down here in Sherbrooke, Qc. I usualy play there 1 or 2 rounds a week from april to november (mostly 9 holes rounds)... I love the game but I'm not very good... My best 9 this season is +10! Made me very proud! I don't know for u guys, but since I started to play "the golf club" game, my real life putting got even worst! I think my brain is trying to read the green differently from what I was doing before... those grids... lol
Driver, 3W, 5W, 4H = Ping i20 (Driver made from Tungsten) 5i-PW = Taylor Made Rac (yes, they're older but damn they hit straight) Wedges = 52, 56 and 60 degree...Taylor Made Rac Putter = Odyssey White Ice Sabretooth I switched the woods to Ping i20's from Callaway Big Bertha's. I miss my CBB's but the Pings give me an extra 20yds on distance and brings my shot about 10yds straighter. I've also installed a jumbo grip on my putter. Such a different feel...also helps me lock my wrists on my putts.
2011-2012 I was a member at a local private club and played weekly, sometimes 2x a week. 2012-2013 I had a different job I was putting in 10+ hour work days 5-6 days a week so I put the clubs away, only played 3x all year. This year I'm back to a better work schedule (7-330 M-F) so I play weekly, but was put on the waiting list at the club I used to be a member at. I've been playing all public's this year usually a decent 18 holer, but will hopefully be back in the private club next season.
