WHL - Defenseman of the Year
Is this a joke?
Where's @DrFurryNips or @Distraqted
Where is @DrFurryNips @cmike17
This is a bad vote
where in the world is @cmike17 @DrFurryNips @Distraqted uhhh helloooo
Is this a every team gets an award, because these aren't the top defenders
UrbanGuerilla over Nips is insanity.
Close my eyes and hit one
I love Greenwood, no way was he or any of these top 3 D men of the year.
Urban like a lot of good D man are overlooked in LG. He is lead pipe solid D man. was my blue line partner all season.
Can’t please everybody I guess... any Dman looks good when they play on a stacked team and not many players are fortunate enough to play on a stacked team. It doesn’t mean they are garbage players
I'd like to second that, WHL held it down even if we weren't playing good in front of him.
Stacked or not, positive t-g is huge
The fact of the matter is that these are the dmen that were nominated by the owners. Majority of owners neglected to vote is what i heard.
^i didn't realize this was driver by the owners... i guess this explains it.
Def some guys got snubbed. Yea furrynips was on a good team, that's a damn good T/G ratio.
WHL gets my vote, only listed D-man with positive T/G
I agree the positive T/G ratio is good but that also has a lot to do with the type of team one plays for as well. Better smarter players around one will help a Dman out to make the right pass.
A lot of players tend to think the more flash a player has the better they are. Anyone who has played with or against me knows I keep my game simple I’m the first to admit I suck on the sticks for dekes and such but doesn’t mean I suck either
That makes sense. Sounds like you play a similar style to myself (or so I'd like to think) good positioning and solid defense, but safe plays with the puck nothing flashy offensively. There's a reason I play defense lol, I can't deke for shit and panic with the puck. And good on ya for not soaking in the glory, and giving your team props for helping you be successful. Respect.
My goal for this year is to end the year with positive T/G... we'll see how that goes.
Lol well a defenseman shouldn't be worry about executing dekes either. Keeping it simple, making the right plays and strong positionally is key. Dr Furry Nips is that kind of player, had nothing to do with playing for Oil Kings.
