Here a pack of smokes is about $8 Tris, so a pack-a-day smoker will spend around $225/month or $2700/year. I quit smoking about 2 years ago after being a regular smoker for about 10 years. I still have the occasional dart every couple of months or if I'm really stressed or drinking with other smokers, but for the most part I don't really feel the cravings anymore... although the morning coffee is still a killer sometimes.

Man when I started smoking in college, the best smokes were 2 bucks a pack at the most. The Marlboros and Camels are around $3.50, give or take with taxes, here in Ohio currently. I can't believe how much more they are in some places.
I'm here in richmond, va the cigarette capitol of the world....home to phillip morris (marlboro and several othe name brands). I think marlboros are between $ 2.50-$ 2.75 per pack, but when I attended college @ The University of montana the were $ 3.75 per pack there and it's been 3 years since then.
Yeah I remember when some buddies and I took a road trip, we went through Virginia then up to NYC. We bought a ton of smokes in Virginia because it was 5-6 bucks a pack in NYC even then.
Yah, its about 5.50 for Camel Lights (Hard Pack) here in Los Angeles. Its still 20 bucks for a gram too, about 50-60 bucks for an eigth, and regularly 100 bucks for a quarter of the good sticky icky.
fuck that u can spend a shit load less and buy pot and be high! i maybe buy a pack of cigs a week. i save my money for pot and gambling!
That's assuming you'd like to be high... been there, and I hated it. Also, it's not like you can go out for a "pot break" when you're at work.
Really? I can't tell you how many people I've seen get high at workplaces. Its crazy too, because I work in an area now where there is super ghetto apartments right by. I used to just think people were crazy, but now I know they are just Tweakers, crackheads, potheads, etc. lol People here tweak and smoke like crazy.
The last time I bought a pack of smokes (2005) I paid 5 USD. I do have a prescription for medical cannabis in the state of California. Life is good. :mrgreen:

Sure, some people do... but it's not like I can tell my boss every hour that I'm going outside to smoke a joint, but I can certainly tell him that I'm going out for a smoke. That and I have way too much at stake to risk screwing up my career/life over something like that.
The town I live in up here (Great Falls) is dubbed "The Meth Capital of the USA". I see a lot of tweakers, they especially like Wal-Mart for some odd reason.
