Wingels' S35 Draft Preview

Hi. Welcome to my seasonal LGHL Draft Rankings, this time for Season 35. Uh so the board isn’t updated, so some of these players aren’t actually signed up, so I guess bear that in mind while reading this. I also can’t see any of the PSN players moving over, which is sad. I’ll probably reply to this thread with new rankings for these categories, but for now this is what you get. The top 32 I did my best to pin point who would go up where based off of stats, pre draft buzz, HUT nerds, and NHL/AHL ECU stints. I then used my rating system and pulled the best of the rest at each position for you.


1. @l Deeks l - RD - Calgary Hitmen - 20-3-0 - 46-44-90 in 23 - +48 - 4.86 GF/GM 2.36 GA/GM

Deeks is currently trolling me by switching his position every 12 seconds, but I guess he’s playing RD? Nonetheless he is still deserving of a top 3 pick no matter if he plays D or Forward. First of many Mem Cup winners on this list with the Hitmen, Deeks is also a top HUT player and has the connections with top players, so expect him to jump into the fray immediately.


2. @Psyc 78 - LD - Halifax Mooseheads - 22-2-1 - 7-24-34 in 24 - +58 - 5.29 GF/GM 2.46 GA/GM

Psyc came into this season with high expectations, with a very large price tag in the CHL with a cap hit of 6.5 million. He certainly delivered, and has the skill and the stats to be up this high.


3. @Whiiiitee - LD - Calgary Hitmen - 16-0-0 - 4-18-22 in 16 - +46 - 5.63 GF/GM 2.38 GA/GM

So apparently White is V toxic? He went undefeated though so must be elite.


4. @Oakua - LD - Niagara Ice Dogs - 19-1-1 - 3-19-22 in 21 - +51 - 4.86 GF/GM 1.57 GA/GM

West coast player. Good win rate, and +/- to boot. Also had success in the AHL as an ECU which will boost his stock.


5. @Utaumau - LD - Shawinigan Cataractes - 17-2-1 - 12-37-49 in 20 - +39 - 5.5 GF/GM 2.85 GA/GM

Hella points for a dman, continued same production into playoffs. Surprisingly not talked about as much as I was expecting, but a solid prospect nonetheless.


6. @Dense Idiot - RW - Sudbury Wolves - 16-1-1 - 60-29-89 in 18 - +52 - 6.11 GF/GM 2.83 GA/GM

Pretty toxic, and got banned in the middle of the season for comments, not sure if he’ll be in the draft due to this but can’t pretend his point totals aren’t impressive.


7. @Buhckle - RW - Niagara Ice Dogs - 19-2-1 - 28-45-73 in 22 - +51 - 4.68 GF/GM 1.59 GA/GM

Not currently signed up, but a solid HUT player on top of 6’s. Also west coast so if you’re looking to build a west line, you have lots of options of here!


8. @Dangology - LW - Calgary Hitmen - 12-2-2 - 22-25-47 in 16 - +48 - 5.5 GF/GM 2.38 GA/G

ANOTHER west HUT player, doesn’t have as stand out numbers as other players, but I think he’ll jump up to reputation/connections.


9. @Im Gbinn - LD - Calgary Hitmen - 12-0-1 - 3-13-16 in 13 - +32 - 5.00 GF/GM 2.17 GA/GM

Another Hitmem with a great win rate and dominant stats. Carried his success into playoffs.


10. @A R N O x 19 - LW - Florida Everblades - 18-4-2 - 36-58-94 in 24 - +32 - 5.38 GF/GM 3.29 GA/GM

Arno and Marty are a great french duo, with arno getting the edge due to more points/decent ECU stint.

11. @JTF2x - LW - North Bay Battalion - 12-7-4 - 36-41-77 in 23 - +23 - 4.64 GF/GM 3.91 GA/GM

Another good 1v1 player who will jump up due to reputation/buzz. Good point production but no dominant in other stats which is why he doesn’t jump higher.


12. @EDK Momo - C - Saskatoon Blades - 17-4-1 - 34-54-88 in 22 - +40 - 5.4 GF/GM 2.65 GA/GM

French player with solid thumbs and good stats all around.


13. @xI Higgins03 Ix - RW - Kitchener Rangers - 13-4-0 - 36-38-74 in 17 - +49 - 5.94 GF/GM 3.24 GA/GM

Probably slipping under people’s radar, but a solid contributor to the OHL champs.


14. @Chrispy8120 - LW - Winnipeg Ice - 14-5-3 - 28-47-75 in 22 - +20 - 5.10 GF/GM 3.86 GA/GM

Good hut player and has ESHL experience. People looking at good ECU stints in both NHL/AHL could push him higher than this.


15. @Mr4Freeze - RD - Moncton Wildcats - 18-2-4 - 3-25-28 in 24 - +32 - 4.33 GF/GM 2.21 GA/GM

First RD on the list.


16. @M A R T Y x 90 - RW - Florida Everblades - 18-3-3 - 40-47-87 in 24 - +40 - 5.5 GF/GM 3.17 GA/GM

2nd half of the Everblades duo. Both of them proved they can have success without each other in WJC.


17. @Zylo mS - RW - Kansas City Mavericks - 13-1-0 - 38-31-69 in 14 - +51 - 5.86 GF/GM 1.93 GA/GM

Had some fantastic scoring numbers in the regular season. Quality of competition may be an issue and struggled against good lines in the playoffs.


18. @I MCFLY 93 l - C- Kansas City Mavericks - 14-1-0 - 23-37-60 in 15 - +47 - 5.47 GF/GM 1.87 GA/GM

Apart of the zylo line, very good stats all around


19. @I Kessel x 81 l - C - Spokane Chiefs - 17-2-2 - 29-33-62 in 21 - +40 - 4.4 GF/GM 2.3 GA/GM

Good 3’s player on top of 6’s.


20. @VolTaGe TaCKtik - RW - Shawinigan Cataractes - 20-1-3 - 51-34-85 in 24 - +50 - 5.42 GF/GM 2.83 GA/GM

Good 3’s player, has connections in the community.

First goalie in the draft. Best stats out of all goalies, with a solid dark horse run in the QMJHL playoffs.

Pleasant surprise on a breakout Ground n Pound squad in Caps Gaming, and will certainly improve his draft stock. Could go higher due to this.
